Bags are packed--Beach part 1

All my bags are packed, and I'm ready to go....

So last Tuesday the Lamars party of 5 loaded up, as you can see, and headed south.
The first stop was Puddin's house in Jackson.  We spent the night and headed out at 8:00 Wednesday morning.... destination... Destin.
I got a mother car (suburban) back in December.  It had a TV that didn't have sound.  So I drove around for 6 months wondering how to fix it.  I was very close to getting it worked on at a shop, but luckily someone told me to try a low number radio station.  Ding ding ding!  87.7 and we're in business.  Headphones and movies made for a lovely ride.
Every year since even before the offspring came along we have stopped in Mobile to eat.  Felix's is delicious and it's become quite the tradition.
Always have to take a picture in front of the rusty truck!
Back on the road again...
And we get to Destin.  We go over the toll bridge and turn onto 98 and stop.  No movement. No going. No nothing. Traffic was dead stopped.  Therefore, Trey got on Old 98 which was no better.
We pull into the Hilton about 4:30 and visited with Puddin and Pops until our room was ready at 6:00.  Only two hours after check in time. Ahhhh the view....
Wednesday night kicked off the Bar Convention (lawyer thing) with a fun Neverland themed welcome party.
Annie went to bed soon after and the boys went night swimming.
And checked out the beach
Thursday, Daddy, Puddin, and Pops had meetings so the kids and I tackled the pool.
Annie caught a nap.
Then we had lunch with Daddy and
She caught another nappy.
Pops is in trouble.  I'm pretty sure she's got him under her spell.
Beach day
Our friends, the Kairit's, were at the beach too.  So fun to play with them.
Thursday was also our TEN year anniversary!!!!!  We got the kiddos to bed, and headed to Bay Towne at 9:00.  I made sure Trey understood how special this outing was.  Normally I'm going to bed at 9:00, not headed out the door.
Trolley ride
Fancy and his fancy drink
I'm more of the simple one
Having a little baby means you have to pack most of your house.  I'm not by any means saying I normally pack light, but she added lots of extra stuff to the cargo.
Love her
He often times wears ladies shoes.
The Bar Convention has a lot of family friendly and kid friendly activities.  On Friday, we went to build a bear.
And got our faces painted
Bitty wanted deer corn (go figure) until Ford got a snake.  He follows suit often.
After we finished at Build a Bear we found Captain America.  A little photo bomber hopped in the picture.
The beach can be exhausting when you're 3. Sometimes you just gotta nap in the car.
I needed to document these arms.  These were grown with 100% breast milk.
We drove down to 30A to eat at Market Cafe.  It's a little old store with delicious food.
Family photo
The Bar Convention was fun. Phase 1 of the beach trip is down in the books!!!
Thanks for a wonderful trip, Puddin and Pops!!!!!

The Best prank ever

I'll start off by saying that my behaviors were not learned from my parents, and they'd not be impressed with how I act!!!!  With that being said, pranks and practical jokes are one of my most favorite things to do!!!

I was looking through an old purse cleaning it out yesterday.  I unzipped the side pocket and found something interesting.  I picked it up and a multitude of thoughts and emotions flooded my body at once.  I immediately knew I must use this item to play one of my greatest pranks on Trey.
Yep.  Gasp!!!!  I'm bad, terrible, mean, blah blah blah!!!  To put up with me one must have a sense of humor.  So here goes...

I put the treasure on his bathroom sink and waited. Some hours later he comes home, changes clothes, and notices his party favor on the counter.  Without fail, he instantly comes stalking me out in the house.  I'm busy tending to the offspring so he can't blurt out exactly what he's thinking.  I believe it was something like.., "Jill!!!"  "Really???"  "Noway!!"  I like to pride myself in my acting abilities and I went into full blown Oscar nominated actress roll.  No laughing. No smiling.  Just believable.

In true Trey fashion he had to go cut the grass.  We have 9 acres so this activity takes place quite often. After a few more small bits of discussion about baby 4 on the way he went outside for the next 3 hours to mow.  He's praying hard on that mower, and I'm dying at my best prank ever and letting those who need to know what kind of stunt I've pulled now.

When he finally comes back inside I'm watching TV with a friend.  Mind you I never watch TV except The Bachelor or Bachelorette which I'm sure is the reason for the loss of many brain cells.

She leaves and he corners me in the kitchen. At this time he's like tell me what's going on.  I decided to throw another spin on the prank.  (It just kept getting better).  I told him to call my brother and they could cry together because my sister in law was pregnant too!!!   I had him going on this for a good 5-10 minutes.

He's panicked.  He told me while on the mower he thought about: how we'd afford four kids, how to add on to the house, when I'd go back to work, what to name the child, etc!

Well, after 5 long hours I told him the truth.  He took off running down the hall and locked me out of the bedroom!!!!  This morning he still had his panties in a wad saying how mean I was.  I even got a text that read....

"It's a bad bad joke.  I made up my mind we really were. I feel like somebody died now. "

Thursday is our 10th anniversary.  I need to keep him on his toes at all times!!!  Even if I do play terrible jokes he still loves me and puts up with me.  Happy TEN year anniversary, Trey!!!!  I love you!

Bitty is 3 and this post is late!

I am not to blame.  Blame it on the rain.  Blame it on whomever you wish.  It's not my fault this blog is almost 3 weeks late.  Wait, yes it is.  I am the only author on this site.  I suppose having three kids who demand full-time attention can hinder my ability to sit and think peacefully and compose such lovely writings.  It's their fault.  Better late than never!
Yes, my sweet little "middle child" turned THREE on June 13th, and I am just now getting around to blogging about the little stinker.
He likes to eat: chicken nuggets, sausage pizza (usually just the sausage), french fries, ketchup is his favorite!!!!!!, vanialla ice cream, yogurt with granola, purple cereal (Rice Krispy Treats Cereal), regular Rice Krispies, chips, steak, chicken, apple sauce, popsicles, squeeze apple sauces, granola bars, candy, purple shakes at Puddin's, Country Bob's all purpose sauce, etc.
Clothes: size 2T-3T
Shoe size: 7-8
He's potty trained:  THANK THE LORD!!!!!!!  This development came about within the last month. He's still in a Luvs size 3 at night.
Naps: Nope!  He pretty much quit those when Annie came along.
Bedtime: Anywhere from 7:00-8:00.  His Daddy is known to keep him up entirely too late and the momma pays for it the next day.  He usually wakes up between 6:30-7:30 AM.
His favorite TV shows include: Paw Patrol and Curious George.  He also likes Octonauts, Wild Kratts, Mickey Mouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, the John Deere Tractor movie, etc.

John Brantley sleeps with Ford.  He's been in there since about January, and I feel this arrangement has worked out beautifully.
He loves: tractors, trailers, bush hogs, weed-eaters (yee dee ters), 4-wheelers (fore fores), riding lawn mowers (get on it mowers), push mowers, blowers, etc.   As you can see he loves all things manly.

He's your BEST helper and you better bet your bottom dollar he WILL help you with WHATEVER you're doing.  Count on it!

Some cute says:  A big bunch (means a lot).   If something is dirty he will say, "Is it a bunch a messy?"  Or if something is funny he will ask, "Is it a bunch a funny?"  If Ford is making a noise he will ask, "Why did you say that noise?"

We were talking about God the other day.  I explained he is everywhere all the time and can be anything he wants to be.  I went on to explain how big he was.  Bitty asked, "Is God bigger than a Christmas tree?"
The other day Trey was talking to Ford about catching an alligator in the Pearl River.  Bitty piped in and asked if he caught it with his fishing pole!!!
He got mad about potty training (as he does every. single. day) and cried and said, "Underwear are not my favorite!!!"   This is solely because it's inconvenient for him.  He has to stop playing to go tend to his business!!!

He loves to pout.  This isn't a serious pout, but the kid has got it down PAT!
The other day he told me... "I love you so much I can't stop loving you!!!!"  He can pretty much get away with murder if he says that to me.

He loves his sack (his lovie/blanket), wants to be held, constantly says "I need you", "Hold me".  He's obsessed with Annie and needs to hold her numerous times a day.  He tells me he's a tough boy and shows me his muscles all the time.

He put his shorts on backwards!!!!
He cracks me up.  He's a funny little guy.  He often times uses voices.  He is very literal about everything.  He isn't into learning his ABC's or counting.  If you ask him how old he is he will hold up 3 fingers.  When asked to count then he says, "one, one, one" or sometimes " four, five, eleven".  You never know what you'll get.

Annie's 4 month shots

Shots are not fun.  I remember up until about age 26.5 (yes, I am referring to myself) I opted for medicine via the mouth rather than a shot.  I guess giving birth three times has toughened me up... A LOT!!!!   Just ask my parents.

Well, today it was Annie's day and I hated thinking about it from the moment we got up.   She's always so sweet and happy, unless she's tired or hungry, and I knew the shots would alter her mood for sure.  I was right!!!   Bless her bones.
Weight: 14.5 pounds- 50th-75th percentile
Height: 24 inches- 25th-50th percentile
Head Circumference: 40 inches- 95th percentile  (I think that's bunk.  JB's head was like 8 times bigger and he was only the 75th).

At birth stats:
Weight: 7.3 pounds
Height: 19 3/4 inches

She's gained: 7.2 pounds
She's grown: 4 1/4 inches

The paper was delicious
The appointment time interfered with her morning nap.  She hadn't even gotten jabbed three times at this point.

COMPARISON....

Ford:
No stats found!!!  =(
He was always around JB's size.
John Brantley:
Weight: 14.15 pounds
Height: 25 1/4 inches
Head circumference: 42.7 cm

He Wants to Rip Them Off

Sweet girls at church.... Bitty loves golf and asked me to tag along while he played a few holes the other day. Another camp.... After many ...
