How can she be SIX??

Somehow time got away from me and my baby turned six.  Whoever said, "Babies don't keep" couldn't have been more spot on.  She's my baby, but she's not a baby.  She's a little lady.

With baseball season upon us, I told her we'd need to celebrate her birthday early.  So ten days before she turned six, I lost my mind and let 11 girls come to play.  It was loud.  It was wild.  No one died.  I survived....barely.

I called a lady less than a week before her birthday and said to make a cake.  I didn't care what it looked like.  It was cute!

One was hiding...

This was the first time since she turned one that I allowed presents at a party.  I now remember why we don't do gifts.

Daddy had to be in Jackson on her real birthday, February 23, so they had a date a few days before to Ya-Ya's frozen yogurt in Oxford.

We also had a Grandma party at Puh's house.

The day before her birthday we didn't have school because there was still snow evidence.  So we celebrated at the Mexican restaurant.   Last year she wanted to be pied in the face.  This time she wasn't happy with me, despite the smiles.

She even told her gymnastics teacher it was her birthday!  They sang.

The last day being 5!

I like to decorate for special days....

Even  though it wasn't Christmas, she needed a run through!

Opening gifts while the sun comes up and via FaceTime with Daddy.  I wish people knew all politicians give up and miss out on by serving their people.  He missed her birthday.

And I surprised her with a sign.  She was very pleased.

On her real birthday I sent snacks.  She said she was embarrassed when they sang to her!

The Snow Was Real

We live in the south.   Snow is a rare occurrence in these parts.  But the weather man said snow was coming and he was on point!!!!
Sunday we saw a flake!

Leland came to play in the cold...

Sunday night it started to freeze.

Monday it was on....

Monday consisted of a lot of sleet.

Gotta be tough to handle this mess.

It was literally bone chilling cold.

Face cold too....

The neighborhood went to the 16th green almost everyday for sledding festivities.

It was 4:30 on Monday before I braved the cold.

And it didn't last long.

I stayed inside on Tuesday because I am fragile.

TA took Annie, Anna Greer, and Mary Addison to stand on a pond.  That is always safe.

Wednesday I was better prepared.

The snow was fierce that day.

It was cold, but I hung for several hours.

Former student, Emily....

Maggie and Annie

Thursday and Friday consisted of a lot of inside time.  Bitty shot me one too many times with a rubber band gun.

I stayed in my robe.

And he's still tough....

Saturday I ventured out....  It was scary!

RTT TBS

Thank goodness that Easter Bunny stopped by.... Trying to take pictures of my kids isn't the easiest thing ever..... We recreated a 2016...
