Please do not climb on the animals

Being a stay at home mom is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done.  There are no lunch breaks or planning time.  You don't communicate with other adults from the outside world often like you would in the work place.  Sick days, personal days, and holidays off don't exist.  Watching the news doesn't happen because you basically live in a cartoon bubble.  There is always some little critter crying, being needy, or grabbing at you.  And I do complain about the exhaustion, lack of help, and need for a mental vacation, BUT I wouldn't have it any other way.  I get to participate in my children's activities whenever I need to.

This hasn't always been the case because during the 7 years that I taught I missed a "Meet the Teacher" and a few class parties because the teaching profession isn't exactly flexible.  So for the fact that I am able to stay home right now with my children makes me thankful even when I want to pull my hair out.

With that being said, on Tuesday, we had a 3k class field trip to the zoo!!!
 His best buddy, Eli
I am aware that Ford isn't in 3k, however he legitimately got  to go too.  He sold enough raffle tickets that he got a day off to zoo it up with us.  He didn't get a day off from school work though!!!!
BoomPa...or Boom as my kids call him.  He's my right hand man.  I can always count on him to be there to help out and assist.
And will you know the seniors came to the zoo too.  So that means I had Anna Greer and her boyfriend Jonah to tag along!!!!!
I'm thinking Ford might be too cool for the sheep??????
 Jonah and Greer
 Ty, Ford, Caden, and Bitty
 I can't even ride a carousal.
Mr. Kip or Coach Kip had to ride with Annie.
Bitty and Mrs. Laura, who happens to be Anna Greer's mom.  Bitty won't know what to do without her next year since they've been together for two years now.
Mrs. Rosy and Mrs. Laura keeping it real in 3K.
 Everyone loves a camel ride...

 Par for the course...
 No pictures please....
 He started something here.
Sometimes when you're done you just gotta make a statement....
And no trip is complete without a meltdown!!!!!

26 months and bad stages

Well, on April 23rd, Annie girl was 26 months old.  We are full fledged in the terrible two's, strong willed would be an understatement, stubborn is her middle name, and no sleep is her game.  I'm not sure if she's spoiled, bad, has attachment issues with me, or what it is, but the last 2-3 weeks have been real...real rough.
She loves to sleep like this....
But when you put her in the bed....
Another example...
And BOOM!
On this day she screamed and pitched one for 1 hour and 45 minutes.  Notice the swollen eyes???
Car rides when tired can be rough.
So sometimes you give up, go to Puddin's house, and wear your gobbles.
That moment you're faced with the scary reality that when you move her she will yell.
I need prayers.  She needs prayers.  I need sleep.  She needs sleep.  Therefore we will transition to a big girl bed soon.
Oh glory!
Last Saturday Ford had a tournament in Tupelo.  Fancy was in a golf tournament so Big Timer and I went alone.  (Puddin kept the littles).  We stopped at the VA to see Granddaddy before the big game.  He was too into watching football to smile for my picture.
I think Annie wants to sleep with her Bubba's too.
This is how we Wal-Mart....
My Bitty is a precious one.  He's hard to handle too, but he's oh so sweet.  Yesterday when I picked him up from school he told me he had a surprise for Annie and me.  I guess he forgot about it because right before bedtime he pulled a bouquet of flowers out of his backpack.  It really really touched my heart!!!!!!

Crawfish, Easter, and a Nap Strike

On my last blog you got the whirlwind day we had with Easter parties and such.  Friday we woke up and got ready for more festivities...

I found this cute romper online for Annie.  Trey said she looked like a stripper!!!
We went to our neighbors' house, the Oakley's, to dye eggs.
Sister wasn't into the egg dying.
That afternoon Trey's high school friends and their families came over to cook craw-fish.
 All the kids in attendance...
 Tay Tay was there!
Annie loves Gaines "Games" as she calls him.
 There was fishing
Saturday Trey took Bitty to the farm to do man work.  Ford is too city for farm life so I took him to Hibbetts.  He's been BEGGING to get new tennis shoes.  BoomPa gave him his birthday money early so we got new shoes, a stick bat and a ball.
 More fishing that night....
 Then Sunday was Easter......
No luck getting a kid picture....

 Puddin had treats too!
Every girl loves McCarty.  (I started collecting for Annie on her first Christmas.  She may appreciate it in 20+ years!!!!)
Sweetness!  Ohhh but when you put her down.  We are having a HARD time with napping in our bed here lately.

February recap

Axton and Griff both played on Ford's BPA travel team last year and this year that came to our school!!! "Momma, take my picture!&q...
