Moral of the story

Soccer is in full swing and that means there is no rest for the weary.  Nope.  None.  Oh and I would be the weary.  Saturday is my day to sleep maybe til 6:30 or 7:00 and then be a bit lazy.  But I can't be lazy because we have been sweating it out from 8:45-11:30 at the soccer fields.  Only for my kids...
The other day Ford called me to the kitchen to see his "sandwich" he was so proud of.  I told him it looked great and asked where there other 75% of the sandwich was.  He said, "Oh I threw it away!"  Of course he did!  Let's not be wasteful or anything.
Y'all... this picture means more to me than I can express.  My mom died when Annie was just over 10 months old so she doesn't remember her.  But when she was still alive and would go see my parents she knew her.  She'd lie in the bed with mom and really loved on her.  Well, I have a big 8x10 picture of mom and me in my closet.  For some reason Annie always wants to lie on the floor and look at it.  She doesn't do this with any other pictures in our house.  It makes me happy, and I promise to talk about Gran to my babies all the time.
Swimming at Puddin and Pops's house.
Sunday morning before church....
My boys LOVE to color and do art projects.  Ford has decided to display them on my back door!
Anna Greer and Bitty on homecoming day 1 - Athlete vs. Mathlete
Even though I'm not currently in the classroom I like to keep my teaching license up to date.  Therefore, I have to take classes to get hours to keep it active.  I dropped the kids off at Trey's office Monday so I could go to my class.  Trey needed to make a call so he shut Annie up in his office, alone.  He said she got real quite.  When he walked back in he found his Bible destroyed.  Moral of the story- You must watch Annie at ALL times!
A teacher friend sent me some pictures of Ford playing at recess.
Apparently Bitty is a ladies man!

There's no manual for prissy

This has been a week of lots of productivity.  I feel like I have had a lot of time at home to get "stuff" done.  Some weeks I feel run ragged, but this week I haven't had a lot of demands, thank goodness.

Sister is 19 months old today.  She's pretty much the life of the party.  You know that person that's always loud and demands the spotlight being on them?  Yep, that's Annie.

I guess you can say she didn't get her way here!  Oh and while you're looking at her grill... She has 16 teeth.
We had to go back and get her tubes checked this week.  All is "A" okay.
I am a firm and true believer in hand-me-down clothes.  Poor Bitty has spent 90% of his life in Ford's old clothes.  Now Annie gets a piece of the pie too...girls can wear camo.
Since her 18 month post, we have completely quit nursing.  She's on to four 6 ounces bottles a day.
She rises at 6:00-bottle
Breakfast is at 7:00
Nap #1 and a bottle is at 8:00
I wake her up before 10:00 so we can run errands and get Bitty by 11:30
Lunch is at 12:00
Nap #2 is at 12:45 with a bottle
I wake her up by 2:40 so we can usually be last in line to get Ford from school
There's play time and supper by or before 6:00
Followed by a bath and bed by 7:00 with a bottle
Annie is with me pretty much 95% of the time.  She helps me shop at Wal-Mart, however, she HATES the buggie.  Riding in there is pure torture and she yells!
Sister is 100% PRISSY.  How does she know to act like this?  There's no manual, and she just came knowing how to act this way.  She is into shoes.  Ohhhhhhhhh she loves shoes.  Any and everyone's shoes.  Soccer cleats anyone?
After her bottle we hug a minute and then she puts herself to sleep in her bed.  Now this is not without crying of course.
One meal my entire family will eat is spaghetti.  Bitty will ONLY eat it on crackers.
Her most favorite thing is ICE.  SHE LOVES ICE!
I am sorry, Annie.  I really am sorry.  Those hips and that butt, she inherited it honestly from me.
More shoes... Bitty's boots
There's nothing much sweeter.  Happy 19 months!
Being 4 is tough.  Being the middle child is tough (so I hear).  Being Bitty is just tough!
Ford.  Ohhh this child.  He plays hard.  Always has.  But when he plays sports he thinks he's supposed to get hurt (so I've decided).  He had a soccer game Monday night where he fell over the ball onto his wrist.  We have talked about it hurting everyday!
So he made himself a sling which he was very proud of.  But he was not happy when I told him he couldn't wear it to school.
Ford and his buddy/3rd or 4th cousin, Cooper
Ford has successfully gone to every Ole Miss football game this year.  Trey was exhausted last weekend and didn't want to go, but in true Ford fashion, he talked him into going anyway!
The little ones and I went to Puddin and Pops's house to watch the game instead.
Bitty LOVES Annie to pieces.  He's loud and rough with her, which she doesn't love.
Sometimes you have to do your reading homework in Momma's closet.
Today the kids weighed:
Ford- 47
Bitty- 32
Annie 25
My dear friend, Taylor, gave me this exfoliant a while back, but I hadn't used it yet.  I saw it in my drawer the other day and decided it was time.
The package says to leave these cool booties on for an hour, wash your feet thoroughly, and in 5-7 days dead skin would start falling off.  So that I did.  HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL, y'all, it's sick.  I can't even post a picture because you'd think less of me.  But it works.  My feet look 100% nasty from all the dead skin coming off.
Until next time...

Soccer and some farm pics

Busy.  It's what we are.  It seems like all day, every day, we are busy.  I know some of you are mumbling under your breath that I don't work, and I don't, but I promise...we are busy people.  Soccer has begun around here.  This would be year #3 for Ford and #1 for The Bit.  Games are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.  That's a lot for someone who just loves being at home... me.
Ford is competitive.  He wants to know how to do everything, do it right, and do it best.  He didn't want to play soccer this season, but Daddy wanted him to.  He is actually enjoying it and doing quite well.  Ford tries very hard, and most of the time it shows.
Bitty also didn't want to play soccer..  I mean just look at this picture.
He's 4.  You can't expect big things out of a 4 year old.  He has a mind of his own.  However, despite my MANY doubts and worries about his performance on the field, he did great.  He hustled.  He payed attention and tried hard.  AND he even scored a goal!!!!!
Our Rebels might have lost to Alabama, but we still sported some red and blue today at church!
Ohhhh sometimes I just squeeze this child because she's so damn cute!!!!!
That's how I feel when people bother me too!
The Lamar family is going to be featured in a magazine this fall/winter, so some folks came to take pictures of us at the farm.  You know I had my camera there too!
Trying to keep all the reading to a minimum on this blog....
