The Beach!!!!!

The beach!  The beach!  The BEACH!!!!!  I do love the beach.  I can honestly say that it is the one place that I go that I am not ready to come home from.  I am a huge homebody, but I could stay in Destin for weeks.  My parents have been taking us to the beach for several years now.  It’s an exciting and wild time being that every year we add another baby to the mix!!!  This year we had 11 people in our condo/villa and there was a lot of squealing, crying, and laughing.  I have taken A LOT of pictures… 227 to be exact.  I’ll try to narrow them down…
Thank goodness for a TV for I might have gone insane.  Ford loves to talk, hear himself talk, and talk some more.  These headphones were delightful along with his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!
We stopped in Mobile at Felix’s for lunch.  It’s kind of become a tradition for the Lamars.

We finally made it.  Enjoying some time on the porch.  I will say that Ford and John Brantley were LOVELY on the way to Destin.  It couldn’t have gone better.

And we are off to the beach to hunt for crabs…

We asked a man to take our picture.  He said he wasn’t very good with a camera.  He wasn’t kidding.  He cut Molly Cate and Caroline right out of the picture!

Sunday night we ALL went out to eat.  Yes, I do mean ALL.  We might have had 11 staying in our condo, but there were almost 40 family members from my dad’s side of the family staying down there.  Dinner was exciting.  We opted for the end of the room where the kids could get rowdy and not disturb the others.

Jack was into body art.  He rubbed ketchup all over himself!

Dad and his two sisters and their husbands

Ohhhhhhhh my was this delicious.  Ice cream pie.  ENOUGH SAID!

Tuesday some of us went on a dolphin cruise.  I took Ford while Trey stayed with JB.  I think he pouted that he had to stay and I got to go.  We came out even though.  JB screamed the entire time and Trey wanted to panic and the “cruise” only went around the bay at approximately 2 mph.  I was hot and felt sea sick.  I would opt for the screaming baby next time.

We saw a pirate ship

Ford and Jack taking a bath

Yelling

Baytowne…  Ford wanted to ride the carousal.  Someone was on the dragon and he was mad.  He screamed the entire time.  Round 2 he had to ride a unicorn and yelled then too.  Oh the joys of a 3 year old.

My big boy!  Love him

Louisiana Lagniappe

The ride from the Louisiana Lagniappe to our place was exciting.  John Brantley yelled like a mad man the entire way.  We had to gain our composure for beach pictures.

We tried to do breakfast at the Donut Hole, but the wait was ridiculous.  You can’t sit around and “wait” when you have a newborn on a feeding schedule.  We left there and headed to Baytowne to Another Broken Egg.

The big chair was too much for Trey’s cool factor.  I, on the other hand, loved it!

Back to Baytowne to eat at Poppy’s

My sister in-law loves Pinterest.  She found this neat idea to bury two people in the sand where it looks like the person has taken their head off.  She and I didn’t volunteer so that left Trey and my brother, Ken, for the job.

For Father’s Day we gave BoomPa some red shorts that I had “BoomPa” monogrammed on.  He loves to come home from work and get comfortable in his cotton lounge shorts.  Well, Ashley decided he needed a shirt to go with his BoomPa shorts.  All the kids put their hand prints and names on the shirt.  John Brantley did his feet.

Acme Oyster Bar... Trey ordered some crab claws and Ford loved them.

Mom and Dad thank you for yet another wonderful vacation and a great time to make lifelong memories.  We love you!!!!!
