Good Hygiene, Charleston, and Lawnmowers

We have good hygiene. We brush our teeth.

This past weekend I flew to Charleston, South Carolina, to a friend from high school’s wedding.  Two of my best friends from high school flew into Charleston as well for the wedding.  We decided not to bring our husbands to the wedding so we could have a girls weekend.

The bride to be at the rehearsal dinner

Sweet Jamie is 32 weeks pregnant and allowed me to rub her belly and take pictures of her all weekend.

On Saturday the three of us, Jamie (preggo), Katie, and I decided we would check out the town of Charleston. We shopped in the market.

Jamie posed for several pictures
We sat on a bench to let Jamie rest.
Then we decided to be real touristy and take a carriage ride of downtown to view the sites.

The things I saw…

This house was built in 1824.  Notice the spikes on the fence.  They were built like that to keep the slaves out of the houses at night.  They didn’t want the slaves trying to kill them and escape while they were sleeping.
Lots of people had these woven baskets for sale

The wedding was in a really neat park

RECEPTION

It was such a fun trip.  But on Saturday we three amigos sure were glad to be headed home.
The weather was beautiful when I got back to sweet Mississippi.  Ford enjoyed his Sunday afternoon on the lawnmower.

I will spare you

I will spare most of you the torture of reading my gibberish and we can move right on into the Ford pictures.

We took some pictures in the front yard before church this morning.

Last night Puddin and Pops took us out to eat at a great restaurant and then to the Frankie Valli concert.  It was sooo much fun!  I love oldies so this was right up my alley.
For all of your rule followers out there, yes, my child does have on white shoes after Labor Day.  It’s just so dang hot here I didn’t think it mattered too much.
One of Ford’s absolute favorite things in life is a tractor.  He talks about them constantly and gets a real thrill from riding the lawnmower with Daddy or Pops.

This afternoon Ken, Ashley, Molly Cate, Caroline, and baby boy on the way came down to go fishing with us.  No luck this week on catching anything, but we all had a good time.
Eating supper at a Mexican restaurant after a hard day of fishing.
Ohhh and I almost forgot… Ford’s babysitter took his bottle away.  I still give him a morning and nighttime bottle!!!!!!!  We are trying to transition slowly.  I do not want to shock my poor child too quickly.

RTT TBS

Thank goodness that Easter Bunny stopped by.... Trying to take pictures of my kids isn't the easiest thing ever..... We recreated a 2016...
