Maybe not the MVP

I think it’s safe to say that tee-ball is getting better.  Game number one involved some heavy yoga stretching, flower picking, star gazing, field roaming, and crying etc.  After that first night we have been talking about how one should act on the ball field and none of the above are examples of proper behavior.

Ford now understands that he must pay attention, even though it’s hard, actually run after the ball when a player from the other team hits the ball, NOT run after the ball he hits, and make sure he runs the bases and doesn't try to come sit in my lap when he gets frustrated.

Daddy helping Ford, #4, get ready to bat.
 And he’s up….
Ford talking to a young lady who has her eye on him!!!!
Trey has to stand near Ford while he’s out in the field so none of the behaviors I described in paragraph one occur.
I don’t think it’s very likely he will be catching a ball with that glove on his head!
My mom, Gran, asked me if I would highlight her hair yesterday and I said I would if she trusted me.  Unfortunately, she declined my offer to document the occasion for my blog viewers enjoyment and pleasure.  It turned out lovely and Ford decided he needed to fix BoomPa’s hair.  What a good sport!
It’s the little things in life that are so exciting and bring lots of fun to my boys!
Trey and Ford went to the farm to put a wheel on a gate and Bitty and I opted to stay at home.  We shared a plate of spaghetti and he enjoyed his sucker.
After he had rubbed that sucker on 50% or more of his body I decided we needed a bath.
John Brantley’s birthday party is on Saturday.  I have spent several days and a lot of hours cleaning my house.  I think I have killed too many brain cells smelling bleach, Clorox, Windex, and Swiffer pads etc.  For the record, next year the boys will have a party together, no presents will be involved, and it won’t be at my house!!!

Headed North

John Brantley is really getting around lately.  He is still predominately crawling, but he is walking too.  He has taken anywhere from 8-10 steps before reaching his destination or crashing.
Ford loves a bath.  Sometimes we have to take one mid-morning just to pass the time.
There aren't enough cabinet locks to keep Bitty out of my stuff.
Johnny B had a diaper malfunction the other morning.  I asked Trey to bathe him and this is what I got.
Ford takes his teeth brushing very seriously.
Ford has been out of school for about 3 weeks and just because its summer doesn't mean that he is free from school work.  Even though we are holding him back doesn't mean that I don’t want him to keep learning.  He can read, recognize, and spell 6 words now: yes, no, go, stop, on, off.  I figure if we try to learn 2-4 “sight words” a week we will be doing good.  He doesn't exactly love doing his “homework”.
Ford loves to help with “fun” jobs.  I guess collecting laundry is considered fun.  John Brantley enjoyed the ride!!
This $8.00 swimming pool was a fantastic investment.  This is our third summer to use it.  The water is still a little too cold for me, but the boys sure don’t mind!
Yesterday was Memorial Day.  That being a holiday, Trey’s office was closed.  Normally when the office is “closed” Fancy still seems to mosey on up there.  I put my foot down and said it was “Family Fun Day”.  We headed north to the zoo!!!
Yes, there are signs ALL over the large animals that ask you NOT to climb on them.  We don’t listen too well.
When we finally let Bitty out of the stroller he was making cave man sounds at all the animals.  He was telling them something for sure.
Thank goodness for the double stroller!!!!
Ford needed to go swimming at Puddin and Pop’s house yesterday afternoon.  The water was too cold for anyone to get in with John Brantley.
So we found him the water table
Ford is taking swimming lessons this week for his third summer in a row.  He is quite the little negotiator and when the teacher would tell him to do something he’d try to cut a deal with her or tell her he was going home.  Today he got really mad at swimming lessons.  She asked Ford to push off of the steps in the shallow end with his feet and swim to her.  Well, she kept backing up and by the time he got to her he was MAD.  His attitude was pretty much shot then and we were only half way through the lesson for today.

Thank goodness that Easter Bunny stopped by.... Trying to take pictures of my kids isn't the easiest thing ever..... We recreated a 2016...
