Posse' Reunited

In high school I had three best friends;  Jamie, Katie, and Amanda.  We did everything together and officially named ourselves "The Posse'" during spring break of 9th grade.  Life happens and we didn't get to see each other as much, but we kept in contact.

Katie has a condo at Orange Beach and asked us to go.  Without hesitation, we all said YES!!!!

I worked half a day on a Thursday then headed to Hattiesburg.  We hopped in two cars and went to the beach.
Our first stop was for dinner at Tacky Jacks.  It was Amanda's 40th birthday the day we arrived.

The one man band loved her!

We unpacked and slipped into our pajamas.  I think I fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up at 9:30 the next morning.  They said they thought I had died!

We called the trolley to give us a lift to the beach.

And we sat there ALL DAY LONG!

Our only friend...

We packed up, missed the trolley, so we walked back...

Jamie high jacked my camera

Struggling with all our junk

We all brought three sets of "our favorite things to exchange...

Amanda got us matching slippers....

Her mom sent cupcakes...

Saturday we lounged by the pool all day

That night we walked to dinner at Cobalts

These are my people

Sunday I left at 5:30 AM to head back.   After 30 minutes I saw a Bus-ee's.  I kind of feel like it's unAmerican not to stop.   So I did.

That trip was so good for the soul.  We laughed.  We told old stories.   We told new stories.  We laughed some more.   It was the best time I've had in a while.   #possekeepittight

September Happenings

Annie signed up to play fall softball, so we spend a lot of our weeknights watching her play.   Cousin Dillie has even made a few games.  Ford adores her.
And Bitty is playing city league football.  It should come as NO surprise that he's the smallest one out there.

Ford is long overdue for braces.   It's just like there's never any good time to take him to get the things on.  I have tried and tried and it didn't match up with my schedule.  So one day Trey calls and says he's getting them in a few hours....

Ta-Da.....The pain was pretty intense for about 3 days.  It wasn't good.
While Bitty was at football practice, Annie needed to go to the park.   She literally loves life more than anyone I know.

And when the kids have sporting events, the Lamar children at the best supporters of the concession stand.
