The Much Needed Date

Trey says ALL the time we need weekly date nights.  I don't disagree, but it's hard with three kids and multiple activities.  I guess that's an excuse, but I'm just saying.

Last week was fall break and I begged to stay home.  I needed a staycation.  We are literally never home.  So, I compromised and said we'd go on a Memphis date.

His Aunt Cecile died of cancer and after the funeral we went to Memphis.
Our Hotel..... The Arrive

We changed and headed to the hotel bar.

My favorite drink, an Old Fashion

And whatever this is was good too.

See that sign in the back ground?????  Earnestine & Hazel's   Trey and I went there the night we met almost 20 years ago...

I guess you could say we bar hopped.

Saturday morning walking around.  We had breakfast and shopped at the Farmers Market

Headed home....

The Owl and the Windows

Sister is in second grade and her class had a play a few weeks ago.  She was an owl and a mighty cute one at that.

These girls.  They're sisters.  Karlee' Rae is in 7th grade now, but I taught her in 4th.  Anniston is my student now.  They are precious and so is their mother.  They came bee-bopping in one day armed with donuts for MY MOM'S birthday!!!  I cried.

I never really liked these black cabinets.  Not sure why I ever thought it was a good idea.  It wasn't.  I needed change.

Friday nights!

More ear pics....

Jessica came home from Jupiter.

Third grade service project idea.  I thought it would be neat to decorate the windows of an old building in town.  They colored and I hung.

One more window to go

Tis the season of busyness

Tis' the season of busyness.  It literally never slows down.  We go to school and work and then divide and conquer with kid activities.  Bitty is playing football this fall for the first time.  The other day during one of his practices, Annie asked to go to the park.  She literally has fun doing anything.

I took Ford to the orthodontist before school started.  She said it was time for braces.  Then it was just a matter of making an appointment time work around all things life.  One day Trey called and said he was taking him to get his braces that morning.   The before....

The during....

The after....   the after was ROUGH for about 3 days.  I mean ewwww rough!

Tough guy in my slippers.

The squad.... Senatobia Rams

And when the boys have ballgames, Annie supports the concession stands.

Trey, Uncle Sidney, and the boys went to see Sidney's hunting land around Tunica.  They saw two cotton mouths.

This gives me the creeps.

BoomPa and Patty came to see Annie play softball.

Anie loves Maciee!

Western Day

She's got attitude

Annie said her ear hurt....

I mean look at that mess....

Ford picked up with a baseball team a few weeks ago and got to pitch.

Bitty and I had a date to El Charro....his pick!

My friend, Mary Jo, helps me haul Annie to all the girl activities when I am busy with the boys.
