Got a ticket?

Got a ticket?  Going to the game?  What game?  The Ole Miss Rebels football game.  If your answer is YES, then you must be Ford Lamar.  This child, who acts wise beyond his years, is an Ole Miss fanatic.  He bleeds red and blue, and his Rebels are the best.

At the end of last week Puddin "casually" mentioned that she might be going to the game in Oxford and would take Ford.  Mentioning it is a for sure, 100% yes you're going deal with this boy.  I don't think Puddin (aka Puh) actually wanted to go, but there was no backing out.... the child was thrilled! Puddin grabbed her friend, Mrs. Marcia, and she brought her little buddy, Maddux and off they went.

Ford and Maddux on the way to see Ole Miss vs. Vandy.
They made it in time to see the team walk through the grove.  Little man (in the navy) high fived all the players.  He's found the QB, Chad Kelly.
And it's none other than our hometown hero himself, Taz Zettergren #89!  Ford sends him weekly fan mail.
And two weeks ago he "NEEDED" to go to the Ole Miss vs. Fresno State game.  This time he rounded up BoomPa, Uncle Ken, and cousin Jack.
Ford is always prepared (I've taught him well).  The boy packed his snack!
He forgot his shades so he borrowed Jack's a bit.
Nothing screams SUGAR HIGH like cotton candy!!!!!!
Jack, I believe you have some on your nose.  Check out the photo bomber in the back... I bet her experience was pleasant!
Welcome to the "gun show".

If you need a buddy for the game just give Ford a call... he's your man for the job!

Festivities for homecoming

The boys' school had homecoming last week.  What is homecoming....
1. a return home. 2. : the return of a group of people usually on a special occasion to a place formerly frequented or regarded as home; especially : an annual celebration for alumni at a college or university.

It was a big week of activities and special dress up days.

Monday- collegiate day
Gotta support our Rebels
Tuesday was costume day.  Too bad for Bit, but he doesn't go to school on Tuesdays.  He was so looking forward to this day too.
Spider-Man
Wednesday was cowboy/western day
Since Ford's class was in the parade I let him dress up in the cool cowboy attire.
Thursday John Brantley doesn't go to school.  That day was just wear a school t-shirt day.  Nothing exciting.  I forgot to take a picture.  Oops!

Friday was jersey day
Bitty beats to the tune of his own drum if you haven't picked up on that already.
Friday each grade level was to set up a tent for tailgating.  I was in charge of the kindergarten tent.
The school provided pizzas and paper products.
Moms supplied chips, cookies, brownies, drinks and such.
A little football afterwards
On the ride home Ford said: "It made me feel special that you were there today!"   That little guy has my heart.  I know sooner than later it won't be cool to have your mom around, so until then I will soak it up.  I promised him on the ride home I would try to always be at everything I could.  (Side note... We all know I missed both boys' Easter egg hunts in the spring while I was dying from the stomach bug).  But Lord willing, I'll participate in everything I can.  Cheers to a fun week had by all.

Chunk of Spunk is 7 months

It's hard to believe that this chunk of spunk is 7 months old!  SEVEN months old!!!  I can't believe it and I want to cry and rejoice all at the same time.  Just wow!!!  I want to cry because she's my last and I know how fast the years go by now.  It only took three kids for me to totally understand and embrace this.  I want to rejoice because there were some days when having three kids was like hanging on to a sinking ship.  She's a great baby.  God knew that I needed her, and she would complete our family in a wonderful way!
On September 14th I had to take Ford to the doctor and I had Annie weighed on that visit.  She tipped the scales at 18.4 lbs!!!!!!
She has now worn shoes just one time... a size 2.
We've moved up in Luvs to a size 4!!!!  Her brother, Bitty, never even made it to a 4.  Girl has some legs!
Annie wears 6-9 month clothing (for now), since it's still warm outside.  I bought 9-12 months for the fall/winter.
On a typical day our schedule goes like this....

6:00 - Wake up and feed about 5-10 minutes
Play time, brothers harass me, roll on the floor, get 7,000 kisses, Bitty needs to hold me, jump in my exersaucer, watch everyone get dressed for the day, and sometimes take my brothers to school.
8:00 - Feed about 15-20 minutes and nap
10:30 - Wake up and feed about 5 minutes
Errands with momma, pick Bitty up from school, roll on the floor, Bitty needs to hold me, jump in my exersaucer
12:30 - Feed about 20 minutes and nap
2:30 - Momma wakes me up so we can pick up Ford
Maybe a few errands, harassed by brothers, kisses, and playing
3:30 - Feed 5-10 minutes
Play, roll, Bitty needs to hold me, golf cart ride, watch brothers play, brothers harass me, kisses, and squealing.
5:00 - 1 yogurt followed immediately by a bath
Help momma, cook, fuss a little when I don't get adequate attention, kisses, roll on floor, exersaucer, etc.
7:00 - Feed 20-30 minutes and bed
Things I love:

Being held, being sung to, kisses, golf cart rides, Puffs, feeding, my bubbas, outside, bath time, cartoons, Daddy, balloons, bright colors, Momma, people smiling, attention, hugs and cuddling, my momma rocking and loving on me, laughing, smiling....
Things I don't love:

The sun in my face, changing clothes, late afternoon when I need lots of attention and people don't hold me, when Bitty squeezes me, rolling into the couch....
Not only does Annie love getting kisses, she also loves giving kisses!!!
Annie has a great belly laugh!!!
Life sure is sweeter with this little one in our lives.  Happy 7 months!

Homecoming parade-cowboy style

It's homecoming week.  And not only is it fun to get to dress up (out of the normal uniform of course), but to be part of a parade.  Ford's class collected the most canned goods for Hope Ministries, and they got to participate in the homecoming parade this morning.  Way to go collecting 394 cans!!!  WHOOP WHOOP!!!!

Annie girl and I made our way over to the school to see the show...
 Cutest cowboy around....
Annie enjoyed the attention from the onlookers too.
Bitty (my not so dressed up cowboy) got to watch the parade with his little class.  Can you tell he's spotted me?!?!?!
 It was bright and hot.
I didn't get good pictures of him marching by, but I tried!
