Bags are packed--Beach part 1

All my bags are packed, and I'm ready to go....

So last Tuesday the Lamars party of 5 loaded up, as you can see, and headed south.
The first stop was Puddin's house in Jackson.  We spent the night and headed out at 8:00 Wednesday morning.... destination... Destin.
I got a mother car (suburban) back in December.  It had a TV that didn't have sound.  So I drove around for 6 months wondering how to fix it.  I was very close to getting it worked on at a shop, but luckily someone told me to try a low number radio station.  Ding ding ding!  87.7 and we're in business.  Headphones and movies made for a lovely ride.
Every year since even before the offspring came along we have stopped in Mobile to eat.  Felix's is delicious and it's become quite the tradition.
Always have to take a picture in front of the rusty truck!
Back on the road again...
And we get to Destin.  We go over the toll bridge and turn onto 98 and stop.  No movement. No going. No nothing. Traffic was dead stopped.  Therefore, Trey got on Old 98 which was no better.
We pull into the Hilton about 4:30 and visited with Puddin and Pops until our room was ready at 6:00.  Only two hours after check in time. Ahhhh the view....
Wednesday night kicked off the Bar Convention (lawyer thing) with a fun Neverland themed welcome party.
Annie went to bed soon after and the boys went night swimming.
And checked out the beach
Thursday, Daddy, Puddin, and Pops had meetings so the kids and I tackled the pool.
Annie caught a nap.
Then we had lunch with Daddy and
She caught another nappy.
Pops is in trouble.  I'm pretty sure she's got him under her spell.
Beach day
Our friends, the Kairit's, were at the beach too.  So fun to play with them.
Thursday was also our TEN year anniversary!!!!!  We got the kiddos to bed, and headed to Bay Towne at 9:00.  I made sure Trey understood how special this outing was.  Normally I'm going to bed at 9:00, not headed out the door.
Trolley ride
Fancy and his fancy drink
I'm more of the simple one
Having a little baby means you have to pack most of your house.  I'm not by any means saying I normally pack light, but she added lots of extra stuff to the cargo.
Love her
He often times wears ladies shoes.
The Bar Convention has a lot of family friendly and kid friendly activities.  On Friday, we went to build a bear.
And got our faces painted
Bitty wanted deer corn (go figure) until Ford got a snake.  He follows suit often.
After we finished at Build a Bear we found Captain America.  A little photo bomber hopped in the picture.
The beach can be exhausting when you're 3. Sometimes you just gotta nap in the car.
I needed to document these arms.  These were grown with 100% breast milk.
We drove down to 30A to eat at Market Cafe.  It's a little old store with delicious food.
Family photo
The Bar Convention was fun. Phase 1 of the beach trip is down in the books!!!
Thanks for a wonderful trip, Puddin and Pops!!!!!
