Like beating a dead horse

Oh Sweet Summer....How hot you are!!!!  We sweat.  We sweat.  And we sweat some more.  These temperatures are amazingly HOT and I am ohhh so thankful we have access to a pool.  Amongst other things that we do other than sweat, we play baseball.   And on a rare occasion get to go to Oxford to see the Rebels play and be on TV!!!!!!!
Sister can be a pistol.  Let's call a spade a spade.  She is.  And she met her match in life, Mrs. MaryAnn Burkhead, aka the swimming Nazi.  I love that lady.... she's taught all of my children to swim and Annie got a dose of her last week.
Day 1 was rough, but she's a fish now!
And Bitty..... ohhh Bit!  I am a teacher.  Always have been, always will be.  And with that comes lots of extra work from this momma.  Bitty and I have been doing phonics, phonemic awareness, sight words, blends, sounds, etc.  Now he's reading Bob Books!
There are those days at baseball practice that you get hit in the eye with the ball!
Bitty is an entropaneur.  He decided to grow watermelons in order to sell them later on.  But it's quite disturbing when you find that a critter has dug up one of your plants!
 Sweet Summertime!
Bitty gets more head injuries than anyone I know.  This was a blast from a water gun being used as a bat!
The beast.  That would be Otis, is home.  Sixty-five has of training and ummmmm I don't think he's much better.  HOWEVER, his new shock collar came in the mail today.  I love Amazon!
 Annie loves Big Girls!
We are still in full baseball mode.  This past weekend we played a two day tournament in Southaven.  The boys played 5 games and went undefeated.  Champs!
Winners and Runners up both received a ring.
 This.  Never.  Gets.  Old!!!!!!!
And We've started VBS.  Yesterday was Hawaiian Day!
My children often talk about things.  Beg for things.  Annoy me.  I think they get it from their father.  I often times tell him he wears me out about stuff until it's like beating a dead horse to death.  Like it's not over until the fat lady sings kind of thing.  Well, the boys have been insisting that they want a buzz cut.  This is nothing new.  They've asked in years past as well.  Apparently I have a weak bone in my body and I gave in!
 I think he's mighty proud!
Ford was a nervous wreck about it even though he was the major instigator.  He was nearly sick to his stomach anticipating the new doo.
Afterwards we had to go show Puh aka Puddin and they all climbed on top of her.  I hope these babies know how fortunate they are to live close to family.  I never had that luxury.
