Rockets and Watermelon Heads

Ford has a buddy named Cade that he has weekly play dates with.  Last week Ford went to his house to play and he came home with a new puzzle.  Apparently Cade isn't a puzzle man like Ford is so we inherited his Mickey puzzle.  I've never been a fan of a puzzle, but Ford sure loves them!

I’m BEYOND over this cold weather.  It’s making me feel grumpy.  I want to get outside and play before the dog days of summer come, but it doesn't look like that is happening anytime soon being that it was 28 degrees this morning.  We've been spending lots of time playing on the floor.  I am so grateful that my boys love each other or I might pull my hair out!
Ford has had these big Lego blocks for a while now.  They have been an excellent purchase and are worth every penny.  Bitty enjoys chewing on them and Ford makes them into rockets.
We still have a deep love for tractors, don’t get me wrong, but Ford is obsessed with anything rocket, Mars, outer space, etc.  Does anyone know where I can buy this child a rocket???

On Saturday we went to a birthday party in Cleveland.  Trey’s best friend’s son was turning 4 so we headed over to celebrate with James.  They had entertainment by Mr. Watermelon Head.  I was a little goobed out at first, I won’t lie, but he was a HIT with the kids!
They did interactive songs with the kids and brought along instruments and such to play with.  Bitty strengthened his immune system because he tasted every one of them!
 James and his momma, Julie
Ford fell asleep in the car on the way over (shocker) and was in one of his “moods” when we got there.  He hadn't ever been to their church, nor did he know all the other kids so he was grabbing my legs and wanting me to hold him   Eventually he warmed up to the idea of it all!
John Brantley got his first Cheeto.   Being the smart momma that I am, I let his Daddy hold him during this experience!

So our bank gives out suckers when you go through the drive-thru.  Yesterday I had to make a stop by our bank and was given ONE sucker.  Under normal circumstances one would think this would be just fine.  NEGATIVE!  Bitty knows exactly what a sucker is.  He got rowdy.  I had to go into a store before we headed home and he yelled, squealed, grunted, and carried on the entire time.  Ford had to share with him.
 DON’T take it away!!!!!!!!!!!

Bitty is in the skinny weight class

Today I put on my Big Girl Panties (yes, Trey, I just said that) and I ventured to the pediatrician ALONE for John Brantley’s 9 month shots.  He has been extra fussy this week because he’s teething and actually cut 2 top teeth just last night.  I juiced him up with Tylenol and we headed north.  When we got there Ford made sure to inform ALL the nurses that he wasn't the one getting the shots, it was his little brother.   Apparently I was misinformed at his 6 month check-up because he didn't have to get shots today!!!!!!!

Stats:
Weight: 18.1 lbs. = 10th percentile
Height: 28.5 in. = 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 46 cm = 60th percentile

I looked back in my blog book and couldn't find all of Ford’s 9 month stats.  I did write that he weighed 19.1 pounds at 9 months and I know his head was always in the 75th percentile too!!!  Lots of brains for my boys!!!  Surprisingly, to most, John Brantley is not a big baby.  His cheeks make him appear to be huge!!!

Either people think Ford and John Brantley look exactly alike or nothing alike.  He is a picture of both at 9 months…

Ford’s eyes aren't that blue anymore and he definitely has more hair than Bitty.
Regardless of the 10th percentile weight class my baby boy LOVES to eat!!!
And no blog would be complete without some pictures of my other little man.  I think he soaked in the tub for 45 minutes this morning while I got dressed!!!  We had a good time talking about the usual conversation topics: Mars, tractors, trailers, mud, wagons, hunting, guns, space ships, planets, Martian Mickey, etc.

Bitty Crashed

I don’t have a lot to talk about (I know this pleases my mom…she says I write too much), but I do have a lot of pictures of my two cute subjects to share.

Last weekend the weather was fabulous so I opened the windows.  I found Ford sitting like this watching TV.

We have had our property now for over 2.5 years.  We are spending a lot of time out there trying to figure out where to put a house.  Ford likes to bring his 4 wheeler and John Brantley must be contained in something, usually the wagon!
 Preciousness!
Last weekend we went out to the new farm and had some friends come out there with us.  It’s impossible to take a picture of three kiddos.    Reid, John Brantley, and Ford
Stud-MUFFIN!

Trey caught Ford a turtle on Saturday morning while he was turkey hunting.  Of course me being a germ FREAK, panicked and said that turtles carry diseases and I wouldn't let Ford touch it.  Trey told Ford we needed to let the turtle go.  The news was upsetting to Ford because he wanted to keep the turtle that I named Ricky.  We set Ricky free….
 Knock Knock….
Ford is trying to catch up with Daddy on his 4 wheeler.  I can’t wait until we build our house and this will be my view every day!
The many faces of Bitty….

This 4 wheeler is one of his favorite things!  I wonder how many miles he has gone already???
Sitting on top of Daddy’s truck!
He loves goldfish.

The other night Ford started jumping off of the potty.  He wanted me to document the occasion so I did so….
I have to strap John Brantley down when I am doing anything or he will get into everything he shouldn't.  Tonight while I was giving Ford a bath I put him in his seat.  Not too long later it crashed!!!!  He wasn't happy at all.  Now I need a new seat!

Hey Lainey!!!!

When we found out Lainey Wilson was coming to Philadelphia and we could go, we jumped at the chance to see her concert. We got to get on Mar...
