What we did....

Hold your applause please. I know this is the second time I have blogged in two days, but I promised ya’ll some pictures of our fall break and I would hate to disappoint anyone who has been waiting.

MONDAY

I made it half way down the hall when I heard a small crash and Ford start to scream.  I went back to discover…

NOODLES GALORE

That was exciting… needless to say.

Trey asked us to ride to Batesville with him on some business.  He twisted my arm when he said we could stop for lunch.  I was real excited about that since Senatobia doesn’t have much to offer other than fast food restaurants.  We opted for a cute little joint and chose to sit outside since the weather was lovely and Ford does tend to get loud at times.  Lucky for him he found a golf cart behind the fence.

Behaviors such as these would horrify my father.  I was never allowed to act this way as a child....  still not as an adult.

Next it was time to pick out a pumpkin.

The sweet lady at the store gave Ford a baby pumpkin… which he called a punkin.

I love to ruffle Trey’s feathers. I promise… this story does go along with my fall break. About 3 months after I had Ford my hair started falling out in large amounts. I heard that hair loss was normal after child birth but I got a bit concerned and went to the doctor to get the situation checked out. After leaving the doctor I called Trey and he asked how things went. I explained that my hair was falling out due to a calcium deficiency, breast feeding, and since I was 4 weeks pregnant. There was a sickening silence on the phone and then I started laughing and told him I was kidding. Ford was maybe 4 months old at this time and I think he was a bit concerned. He is just so fun to mess with. Now… on with my story. I told Trey that I was buying a pumpkin for each one of us. When Trey came home from work yesterday he very seriously said… Jill, I need to ask you something. I turned around and he said… why are there 4 pumpkins on the back porch?

I smiled real big and laughed. I said I am not pregnant… the lady at the store gave Ford a little pumpkin of his own. I think I made him BAD nervous!!!!!

TUESDAY

Eating breakfast
We took Delta to the vet this morning, bought stamps, strolled through the park, and of course... had to play in the shop.

Like any good momma would do, I took Ford shopping.

Then God brought on the rain so we came home and played in Mommy’s closet.

And in case you were wondering, yes, it is always that clean!!

We watched it rain some out the door.

We played with some toys.

We took a bath.

Played some more...

Then we drank our bottle and were asleep BEFORE 7:00. It’s hard being 17 months old!

I had a wonderful fall break.  I hope you enjoyed our last 2 days.  And for the record, I won’t be blogging again in 2 days!!!  Maybe this weekend.

10-10-10...Love this date

So, last Monday when I blogged I said that Trey and Ford were out riding a combine.  I sent my camera with the boys so that Trey could document the occasion.  Ford had a large time.  He can’t communicate very well, but when they came home that night he was practically screaming “Ride Momma.”  “Tractor ride.”  He was oohhh so excited.

I made cupcakes for the law abiding citizens in my class on Friday and brought an extra one home to Ford.  He thought it was delicious.  As you can see, he was covered in chocolate so we took a bath immediately following.  When we got into the bathroom and Ford saw himself in the mirror he started crying.  I think he scared himself.  It was hilarious.

We like to have a nature day Sunday at the Lamar household.  Today we went to the family farm to ride four-wheelers.

This was right about when Ford stepped in the horse poop and I freaked out. Good thing I travel with lots of baby wipes in hand.

We crossed a dried up creek and I insisted that we stop for a photo shoot.  Trey just didn’t understand but he stopped and let me get a few shots of the little man.

We have fall break the next two days. I am really excited to have a few days away from work and children. But I am really excited to spend some quality time with my own child. I feel like our weekends are always so rushed.

Ford is all boy. I have said before that he loves a tractor. To what degree he loves a tractor, I don’t think you understand. His first word almost every morning is tractor. Then he reminds me of whom all takes him for rides on their tractors. He will say “Daddy tractor.” BoomPa tractor.” “Pops tractor.” The he will usually add the word “ride” in there several times. For his birthday he got a bubble lawn mower which he loves. So he thinks all push mowers blow bubbles. When we go out into the storage room/shop he will say “Daddy’s bubbles.” Today we went to Puddin and Pop’s house to eat lunch and he was fixated on “Pops bubbles.”

He is just so much fun. It is amazing to me what all he knows and how he understands about 95% or more of what I tell him. He is so big yet, still so small. He has recently begun to like to rock. Now this can only happen when he is about to go to sleep or when he first wakes up in the morning. The other morning I gave him his morning bottle (yes, he still have one in the morning) and then I said we had to stop rocking because I had to go to work. He started crying and said “Rock Momma.” It broke my heart. I think I may rock that baby all of my fall break. And I wonder why he is spoiled rotten? It’s me!

I expect to take some cute pictures the next two days, and who knows… I may just blog again real soon.  I plan to enjoy my two days off and maybe regain a little bit of sanity in there somewhere.  Remember to pray for the teachers…we need all the prayers we can get!

Her Last Meet the Teacher

Girl likes her a tea! I decided Annie was old enough to start getting her eyebrows waxed.   I didn't really explain the whole process to...
