10-10-10...Love this date

So, last Monday when I blogged I said that Trey and Ford were out riding a combine.  I sent my camera with the boys so that Trey could document the occasion.  Ford had a large time.  He can’t communicate very well, but when they came home that night he was practically screaming “Ride Momma.”  “Tractor ride.”  He was oohhh so excited.

I made cupcakes for the law abiding citizens in my class on Friday and brought an extra one home to Ford.  He thought it was delicious.  As you can see, he was covered in chocolate so we took a bath immediately following.  When we got into the bathroom and Ford saw himself in the mirror he started crying.  I think he scared himself.  It was hilarious.

We like to have a nature day Sunday at the Lamar household.  Today we went to the family farm to ride four-wheelers.

This was right about when Ford stepped in the horse poop and I freaked out. Good thing I travel with lots of baby wipes in hand.

We crossed a dried up creek and I insisted that we stop for a photo shoot.  Trey just didn’t understand but he stopped and let me get a few shots of the little man.

We have fall break the next two days. I am really excited to have a few days away from work and children. But I am really excited to spend some quality time with my own child. I feel like our weekends are always so rushed.

Ford is all boy. I have said before that he loves a tractor. To what degree he loves a tractor, I don’t think you understand. His first word almost every morning is tractor. Then he reminds me of whom all takes him for rides on their tractors. He will say “Daddy tractor.” BoomPa tractor.” “Pops tractor.” The he will usually add the word “ride” in there several times. For his birthday he got a bubble lawn mower which he loves. So he thinks all push mowers blow bubbles. When we go out into the storage room/shop he will say “Daddy’s bubbles.” Today we went to Puddin and Pop’s house to eat lunch and he was fixated on “Pops bubbles.”

He is just so much fun. It is amazing to me what all he knows and how he understands about 95% or more of what I tell him. He is so big yet, still so small. He has recently begun to like to rock. Now this can only happen when he is about to go to sleep or when he first wakes up in the morning. The other morning I gave him his morning bottle (yes, he still have one in the morning) and then I said we had to stop rocking because I had to go to work. He started crying and said “Rock Momma.” It broke my heart. I think I may rock that baby all of my fall break. And I wonder why he is spoiled rotten? It’s me!

I expect to take some cute pictures the next two days, and who knows… I may just blog again real soon.  I plan to enjoy my two days off and maybe regain a little bit of sanity in there somewhere.  Remember to pray for the teachers…we need all the prayers we can get!
