Change. Ohhh how it's not my favorite thing in the world. I prefer boring normalcy. Same old same old. Nothing new. Nothing fancy. Just the same. No change. Well, with life there are changes, a lot of them. Then throw some kiddos into the mix and they happen almost daily. Like school ending, and children being promoted to the next grade. It's not just the next grade though. It's first grade. It's a different building. It's staying until 2:45 instead of 2:30 (yes, that matters). It's real letter grades and more homework. It's change!
Kindergarten is over. Donezo. No more Mini Magnolia. No more little building. No more little kids things I love. He's done. He's big. He reads and does big kid stuff like playing with balls. He's not into toys. He's big.
He changed this year. Look how little he seemed 9 months ago....
Yesterday was his last day of 5K. A sweet family friend brought both boys balloons and candy bags.
Then last night we had his graduation program.... "When I Grow Up"He wants to be a football player, naturally.
He sang. He smiled. He just looked cute as pie.
His first speaking part where he welcomed the audience...
His football speaking part...
Do you see him....He's wiggling his loose tooth with his tongue. I told him he couldn't mess with it until AFTER the program was over.
The kiddos brought flowers to their mommas.
He's coming to get his diplomas.
