Last week I was blogging like it was my job, and this week I haven't done so well. That's life I suppose. On a positive note, the legislature is coming to a close. Not yet, but soon. There is LiGhT at the end of the tunnel, folks. Light!!!! Trey has been gone every single week since January 5. He was actually being sworn in when my mother died....if that tells you how long it's been. Too long. Too long.
I have asked that he write his first ever blog post when he comes home detailing all his accomplishments in the House over the past 5 years. It's lengthy. A lot of times he gets criticized, we receive ugly mail, or he's publicly blasted on Facebook for some of his decisions. It's hard for him to deal with such, and it's very hard for me to stand back and not let my "crazy" come out on some people. I'm so proud of him for serving not only Tate County, but the people of Mississippi. It's a thankless job. He misses A LOT. He's gone from home each week. He misses ball games, class parties, field trips, he's missed birthdays, milestones the children make, etc. If you're reading this you should thank those who serve away from their families in order to make your hometown a better place to live.
In his absence he receives LOTS of text messages and pictures from me keeping him up to speed. Like this one from Bit's teacher saying, "I think he likes to paint!!"
Trey missed Ford's baseball game last night which they lost 15-0. It's all about fun, right?!?!?
When the boys close her out she stalks them. She puts her fingers under the door. She beats on the door. She makes noises until they let her in.
And she cleans. So helpful...
Bitty got some new china...notice the tractors. The rule is: Don't put anything on the tractor. Notice the ketchup and sausage (nice combo, I know) aren't on the tractor in the middle of the plate. That OCD kicks in daily.
Last week The Bit went to the dentist, this week Ford and I went. His appointment takes twice as long as anyone else's because he "NEEDS" to be involved. Notice the mirror. He must watch the entire process and know why everything is being done. Must take after his daddy!
I tossed him out at the end of the driveway and made him earn his room and board by bringing up the garbage can.
