Toofies cleaned

As one gets older he or she takes on new responsibilities.  With that being said, it was time for a good ole trip to the dentist.

I will be perfectly honesty: I was a nervous wreck prior to this visit.  I have compared living with Bitty to walking on egg shells.  You just never know with him.  So like any good mother would do, I prepared him for what was to come.  We talked and talked and talked about Ms. Jane and Dr. Alford and all that would go on. I personally do better when I know what is to be expected, so I told John Brantley.

He was excited all morning about his very first check up last week.
They had toys to enjoy while we waited.
A nice book selection
Then it was time to go back and meet Ms. Jane.  She has an amazing amount of patience and discussed what would go on during this visit.
There's that look.  Ha ha ha.   He is pretty much like who are you, where am I, what is about to go on, etc?????
Like all good dental hygienist, she has cool shades for the kiddos to wear.
Fortunately for her and everyone else in the building, he was tense.  There were new faces and a new environment.  Therefore, Bitty was calm and quiet.
He didn't talk or move.  He was still.
While waiting on Dr. Alford to come check his teeth he started to warm up and the wildness was about to come out.   We got out of there before he disturbed the peace too much.
He got a flaugie (as he calls camouflage) wallet for a job well done getting his toofies cleaned!!!
Ahhhhh school picture proofs!!!!   Please note the names in the bottom corner.  Ford doesn't go by Jefferson and Bitty doesn't go by John.
The day after the dentist was a big day in 3K.  John Brantley's class had been studying pets all week.  Well since we don't have a pet anymore we borrowed one to bring to school for show and tell.  Puddin and Pops let us bring Bo.
He's not much for lots of little ankle biters so a leash was necessary.
He behaved.  The kids weren't scared.  And Bo might have needed some anti-anxiety meds after this debut.
John Brantley wanted to know why Bo didn't stay with him all day!!!  I think 5 minutes was a beautiful amount of time.
And sister is doing just fine too!!!!

It seems that Bitty played it cool and went through the whole thing like it was nothing. I hope that he keeps this attitude when it comes to dental visits. That way, you won’t have to worry about him during your future visits. Cheers!
