Louie was born on Friday, June 1, weighing in at 4 pounds, 6 oz. His diagnosis is Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia he also has a deuodenal atresia...Louie will have an extensive hospital stay at LeBonhuer Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, TN. His amazing parents, Matt and Whitney (and brothers, Luke, 7 & Tony, 10), were aware that he would have some surgeries and recovery ahead of him upon arrival. After staying a few hours in the NICU at Baptist, he was transported to Le Bonheur. Louie had his first procedure on Monday, June 3 on his tummy. The procedure was a success, and now he will be recovering at the hospital until his first heart surgery can be done. Doctors will then evaluate next steps.
I do not know this family, only Louie’s aunt and uncle. I do know as a mom that this would be extremely difficult seeing my baby like this. I have been following them on Facebook and you can too. No one is turned away from viewing the page… Lil’ Louie’s Army. The family is trying to raise money and Louie’s uncle has designed t-shirts. The family is trying to sale at least 75 shirts. They are half way there. I definitely don’t need any more t-shirts at my house, but I am willing to buy a $12.00 shirt to help a little boy out. If you too are interested please follow them on Facebook and check out this website.
