Watch Out Picasso

You can just call me Picasso. To explain, Ford and I went on a little field trip this week to Jackson. Gran drove down with us to see my Grandparents and Ford and I stayed with Puddin. Puddin and the crew she works with had been discussing taking an art class at the Easely Amused studio in Flowood. I am not an artist but decided I needed to be a part of such a fun event.

You really must check out their website and try to take a class if you are in the Jackson area. And to clarify any doubt or worry, you DO NOT have to be an artist. I surely am not! Okay… the first picture is the original painting of some hydrangeas. The title of this piece is “Grace Upon Grace.”

We were to paint our picture based on this painting. Please remember, no two paintings are alike or created equal. This was also my first time painting other than with water colors in kindergarten.

Here we go. This is my work of art in steps.
And Walla… We’re done…

I really wish I would have done more white at the top to create a “shadowy feel” but it was hard to tell when it was still wet. Here are some pictures from the evening of our crew.
It was sooo much fun, inexpensive, very therapeutic, and a great time to bond with some friends.

Ohhhhhh and I know you are all wondering what in the world am I going to do with my priceless work of art. Well, I decided since Trey moved into the other bathroom that I would hang it above his toilet to add a little color to his new “man room!”

Ford doing what he does best… playing with keys and pots and pans. Good times while visiting his Great Grandparents.

Tonight we as a family of 3 went to Wal-Mart to buy a few necessities. You know a hose, sprinkler, toilet paper and 2 kinds of milk. Ford got real excited when he saw me grab the milk and insisted on holding the gallon jug. I sat it in his lap, while he was in his stroller, and kept my hand on the jug so he wouldn’t drop it. Trey turned around and almost had a duck. He said for me to get that from him immediately. He said if he dropped that on the floor and it spilled everywhere I would absolutely lose my mind. I think I would just run away, myself! Trey likes to be more dramatic on certain topics.

A few pictures in Wal-Mart while Daddy picked out a new hose. Ford was getting antsy so I tipped his stroller over.

When we got home Ford was just as excited as we were that Wal-Mart had the toilet paper on Rollback that he decided to play on it in the kitchen.
