Last Friday, Trey and I went to Oxford for the night. He had some meetings and we had a dinner for young lawyers at the Ravine. It was delicious. The waiters kept coming out of the kitchen with appetizers and I happened to be standing right by the door and felt the need to sample almost all of them. You can’t be rude! I passed on the lobster… remember nothing that swims goes in this mouth. After we left the Ravine we went to the Library. No, not the library you search for books at… this was more of a social joint. I know a lot of people who read my blog are not familiar with Oxford… we were not looking at books on a Friday night! We left the library and headed to get some chicken on a stick before going to bed. What a good ritual we did for almost 4 years of college! That would also explain why my friends and I carried around some excess baggage back then. Speaking of college girls… whoa do they dress up when they go out these days!! And ohhhh did I feel old when I didn’t recognize anyone at the Library. I am quickly approaching 28 and do not have the body of an 18 year old anymore… especially after childbirth. It did make me a bit sad when we went shopping on the Square when I realized I really am too old to wear a lot of the cute outfits that are out these days. I am even debating on a mom swimming suit. Trey will object.
On Sunday I woke up to Ford crying at 6:27 AM and panicked. I grabbed my phone and ran into the kitchen to heat up his bottle all the while steadily calling the assistant principal to tell him I would be late for school. (I wake up at 5:30 for school). After 3 rings it hit me that it was SUNDAY and not Monday. Duh!!!!! Thank goodness he did not answer or he might have growled at me! I apologized at school for my stupidity and he just laughed.
I decided to cook spaghetti tonight. No, it was not out of a can. Trey would have no such thing at our house. It must all be cooked with love… you know slaving over the oven! Ford was in no mood for me to be cooking and not giving him 100% of my time and attention. He pretty much destroyed my kitchen.
After supper and a good bath we played on the floor. I was trying to watch Wheel of Fortune and Ford kept messing with the remotes. So, I decided to hide them under the coffee table from him. He was aggravated at first and then figured out how to get to them.
This time last year I was miserable, close to 200 pounds (not really but a lot closer than I am now) and about to pop. One year ago today I had my baby shower at school. I ran across this picture tonight and boy do I look puffy and swollen! I am just glad that the baby weight really does come off and I do not look like someone attacked me with an air pump still! I have no problem making fun of my near obesity now that I don’t look like that anymore!
Everyone have a good week and don’t expect me to blog again in 2 more days. I just don’t see that happening! P.S. I think I won the battle with the blog website this time!!!

I totally agree with you on the college girls thing!! When I think back to some of my casual attire I wore out sometimes in college...it's out of control now! I guess you are getting ready for Ford's birthday?!
ok, honestly your blog posts are long...I will read this later...but the good news is that you have an award at my blog!!:)
What exactly is a "mom" bathing suit? Do I need to get one of those??? I highly doubt you need one. You do look like you have the body of an 18 year old.
