The Bunny Stopped At Our House

So we started off our Easter break with a new Good Friday tradition compliments of my husband. Friday, we had the first annual Lamar/Alford family crawfish boil. I, myself, do not eat crawfish. They are categorized in the swimming family, so I stuck with the potatoes, (or taters as Trey called them) corn, and sausage. At about 10:30 I was all partied out and hit the hay and I think the function continued on for several more hours...until the 60 pounds of crawfish was gone.

One of my good friends from college is getting married this summer. Several of us former DDD’s hosted her a bridal shower in Oxford on Saturday. It was fun getting together with college friends.

After the bridal shower I met Trey and Ford and we headed to Cleveland to James Still’s first birthday party. Thank goodness Puddin and Pops gave Ford a DVD player for the car for Christmas or the ride could have been a little rocky. The ride home wasn’t as pleasant as we had hoped because no afternoon nap and being stuck in a car seat for over an hour lead to a small melt down. But we survived through it all.

Easter is such an important time of year. I hope everyone was able to go to church this morning and celebrate as we at the Lamar household did.

I could HARDLY wait for Ford to wake up from his nap so we could go outside and hunt Easter eggs. I had been practicing most of the week with Ford about what an egg was. I think he was a little confused with eggs and balls. They do seem to be similar, especially to such a small tike as Ford. He picked up one egg and decided to eat it and lost interest in the hunt. Regardless it was a fun afternoon.

He loves snack time

These pictures are precious!! Yall looked so nice for church! We weren't able to go cause Reid woke up with a high fever, & we found out later he has a double ear infection:( I have to say, Ford is very advanced! I'm impressed with all he can do:)
