The Rona

So July 4th didn't start off exactly the way we wanted it to.  We got a call that morning that Trey had tested positive for the Coronavirus.  Lord help us all.  I guess at that exact moment it didn't register with me all that this virus would entail.  It meant that he had to stay upstairs all alone, he couldn't touch anything, he couldn't come downstairs, the kids couldn't see him, I had to wear a mask, etc.

We planned to go to the country club pool that day, but we had to go to Puh and Pops's pool instead.

Ford was very upset to miss the 4th festivities at the pool.

That night a storm start moving across the field behind our house.  It was neat to see it coming.

The children and I still participated in the golf cart parade but didn't get close to anyone.

We sat far away from others but saw the fireworks.

My newest accessory....

TA and Pam brought us two chocolate pies.  I was so excited to get some chocolate...I nearly died out laughing when I opened the pie and a big piece was gone!

Fancy was waited on hand and foot while he was in quarantine.   I made him fun snacks...

One day I spent over 3 hours cleaning out Annie's closet.  She was playing in her bathroom.

I have even learned to make coffee during Trey's downtime.

Six days after Trey got the news, the kids and I went to test.

The test was pretty brutal.  Annie lost her religion.  My children needed a gas station treat after for their bravery.  The kids and I tested negative!!!!

Chicken Wings

Not to be outdone by his older brother, Bitty loves baseball too.  He is on a competitive team.  It's been a balancing act trying to juggle two boys with two different schedules.

Last weekend he and I went to Tupelo for a one day tournament.  After 9 hours and 5 games they came in second place.

That smile!!!!  He is proud of his first ring.

Long, hot day....

Just waiting in between games....

Trey got to get a picture with all the Ole Miss and Mississippi State football staff.

One of the kiddos gets to sleep with me when Trey is gone.

Mood swings....

He wanted to show off his 4 pack!

After midnight working in Jackson...

Sometimes when you get new hair bows you need a picture!

A goodnight picture to daddy...

He got home in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.  We waited until a few hours later to document the completion of year #9.

This picky eater LOVES some chicken wings!!!!!

Almost July 4th....

A different kind of VBS

Life and pretty much everything about it has been so different lately.  Changes are all around, and changes aren't my most favorite thing.  One thing we look forward to each summer is Vacation Bible School.  It's an awesomely exhausting week for all involved.  Thanks to Corona, we couldn't have traditional VBS.  Instead we paired with a church in Coldwater to do a backyard Bible study.  We spent day 1 canvassing the neighborhood for potential children who might want to be involved.

Annie and CJ became fast friends!!!!

Days 2-4 we met at someone's home for Bible study, recreation, crafts, games, and snacks.

It wasn't the VBS that "I" wanted, but we actually had a really good time and I am thankful for the change this year.

Annie posing on June 26, the day back in 2014 that I found out I was pregnant with her!

She has been requesting to bake a lot lately.

Ford likes to drive the 4 wheeler around the yard with the trailer attached so he can pick up sticks.  Why he thought he could fit through this area that's no more than 12 inches wide is beyond me!

My bed.  I have no room.

Hey Lainey!!!!

When we found out Lainey Wilson was coming to Philadelphia and we could go, we jumped at the chance to see her concert. We got to get on Mar...
