That Magical Place- Part 1

You know when people write all that mess about "the struggle is real".... yeah well, I'm here to testify that THE STRUGGLE IS REAL after a week in Disney World.  Call me a sissy, I don't care.  Disney 1  -    Jill 0.

The planning for the first ever Lamar family WDW trip began about August of 2015.  You gotta plan people.  Originally we were going to go at the end of January/beginning of February, but we changed plans because in August of 2015 I had no clue what shape my mom would be in (she died January 5), Trey was in session, and Annie was still pretty small.  So we moved the trip to September so we could throw in some Ole Miss football too.

Last Thursday, September 1, I got up at 3:50 AM.  It was one of those I hate my life experiences when it burned putting the contacts in.  Trey slept much longer than I did.  He's a natural beauty, me...not so much!  I plan, pack, stress, over think, plan some more... you know,  it's a mom's job.  We were supposed to leave at 5:45, but Fancy wasn't ready so it ended up being a bit after 6:00.

   The before...
Shuttle from parking lot to air port...
I find it 100% necessary to wear proper attire for DW.  Ford wasn't feeling the shirt.  When you're 7 you're much too cool for such.  That's why God gave him to me... I have to put him in his place every now and then.
You would THINK Bitty would be the one to worry about on the plane ride.  I will have you know he was absolutely perfect.  He sat quietly in that window seat and colored.  Ford flipped out 95% of the ride.  I was trying to do all of his school work with him and he was certain the plane was broken, we'd crash, blah blah blah.  I considered moving seats.
And Trey was stuffed in the last row....
He text messaged me 72 times.....
 Shoe malfunction
Gotta document that he played on his phone entirely TOO much!
 The Wilderness Lodge...
Not only did my ever so patient sister in law plan our entire trip, but she had balloons, Mickey's, and autograph books waiting on the beds for us!!!!!!
No time to waste... we hit Magic Kingdom right after we fueled up...
Y'all, I'm 34 and had NEVER been to Disney World.... I was probably the most excited... Hence the over 700 pictures I took.
 Buzz Light Year ride....
 Go carts
This was my personal hell.  I don't like rides.  Y'all I can't even swing at the park without feeling sick.  Space Mountain rocked my world in a not so good way.  Even Trey didn't love it.  Ford did... can you tell????
For supper we went to the Polynesian resort to eat at Ohana's.  The boys got to participate in a little game.
Then we met the real talking Mickey...
When it was time to Hotdog dance Trey panicked and moved away!

Trey was the map reader.  I could NOT read a Disney map.  They put all the rides on there, but leave off the stores, bathrooms, and restaurants.  So when you think you're close to your ride you're a mile away.  I stayed confused.  Doesn't take much!
Splash Mountain might have been my favorite... and Yes, we got wet.
Or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.... sooooooo fun!
Thursday aka Day 1 ended with a storm which we all got completely soaked, but stayed until 9:00 PM to watch the fireworks show.
DAY 2 Epcot-

I'm a morning person.  I don't necessarily like getting up in the morning bright and early, and please don't try to carry on an intelligent conversation with me too early either.  But I get up and get going.  My people don't.  (That's Bitty).
Strollers.  You might think it's borderline ridiculous that my 4 and 7 year old rode in a stroller all week, but PRAISE THE LORD I got one.  Not only did it keep them from walking 8 miles a day, but we stored our junk in there too.  Team Stroller!!!!!!
Squirrels are vicious... they steal snacks right out of strollers.
Whoop there it is... that phone AGAIN!
We got to see Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie...
Those autograph books from Aunt Ashley were loads of fun....
One of MANY behavior talks.... Can't act like a raging donkey in public and think you're going to get away with it!
 Ana and Elsa...
Trey was nice enough to carry my purse some!
 Yay for tthe autograph books!
While at Epcot we toured all the different countries and had dinner in Japan at a hibachi restaurant.
When you wait an hour to ride Test Tracker...
Goodnight Epcot you wore me out!
This was only two days of our trip.... More to come!
