SB2016 Part 1

Last Sunday I started.  I started packing for the SB2016 trip to Jackson.  Yeah, it's only 2 hours away, but lets get real.  I'm Jill.  I don't pack light and I have three babies in tow, and I gotta bring their stuff too.  So I packed on Sunday and all day Monday morning.  We actually pulled out 30 minutes before I planned.  Winning!!!

I don't let my kids have Ipads and video games, BUT in the car on trips we do watch movies.  The really good "G" rated kind that are probably too baby for Ford in the first place.  He'd rather watch them than stare out the window.  And by allowing them to watch a show I can dodge about 2,500 questions.

Our first stop was the lovely retirement/assisted living facility in Ridgeland where my grandmother and her two sisters live.  It's like a sorority dorm for old people!  No lie!!!  My great Aunt Rose always tries to entertain the kids with stuff.
We got to bring this duck-chicken home.  It sings "If You're Happy and You Know It".
My almost 90 year old grandmother...
See her made me miss my momma even more.
Since Aunt Rose's apartment is complete with 95% breakable and expensive things, I was a nervous wreck the entire time.  We stayed an hour and a half and then headed onward.
Who doesn't love Soulshine for supper?!?!?!
Annie was fascinated with another baby.  I don't think Charlie even noticed her!
Puddin is such a good sport.  She lets us come destroy her house when we visit.  I am not using that word lightly either.
Tuesday we went to the Children's Museum with our friends the Banks.
He was in a mood most of the trip.
 Ford ran from my pictures.
 Ford and Reid
You gotta rest after something like that.
Tuesday night Puddin and Miss Taylor took the boys to Bass Pro.  Who knew the Justice could shoot a gun???!!!???
Naturally, Miss Taylor bought them something.  She's such a sucker.  Ford got these building logs.
Tuesday night I got to go eat in a special "back room" at Tico's with Fancy, a few other reps, and some lobbyist.  I could get used to that wining and dining every night.  NOT.... I like my pajamas too much!
