Slumber party, hair disaster, and posse' riding

Good friends are like rare jewels.  As a young person (much younger than I am now) I thought I had dozens of really good friends. As the years have passed it has become clearer that in life there are only a few truly genuine friendships you'll have.  Trey has one. His best friend was born two weeks before him, and they've been like brothers for almost 35 years now. They keep in touch even though distance separates them and always pick right up where they left off.
Seth, Trey's bff, his wife, and three kids stayed with us this weekend.  You've never seen a group of kiddos have such a big time.  It's like they're family.

John Everete, John Brantley, James, Anne Allen and Ford.  Too bad Annie can't sit in a tree yet.
Then we threw the BFF's in their with their offspring.  (We built our house around this good climbing tree).
Bedtime was like fruit basket turn over.  We had kids up, down, changing locations, slamming doors, wandering, giggling and much more.
It was such a fun weekend of fellowship and playing that they might come back this coming weekend too!
I've said it before, my boys are obsessed with their sister.  Apparently they like her accessories too!!!
I'm pretty sure she's just as fond of them.
Gran and Boom came for a visit on Thursday.  I needed to capture the moment.
Wild hair. Colorful glasses.  Drool. Chubby cheeks. Ole Miss dress.  Annie is the complete package.
Ahhhhh this child.
Everyone has that "special" child.  Strong willed. Stubborn.  Hardheaded. That's our Bitty.
When you tell him NOT to put the toy fan next to his hair, and he does it anyway.  Bless him. Twenty five hairs later he yanked it out!
He keeps me on my toes.
Her head is growing.  The headband bows leave a mark now.
Play dates are essential for my summer survival. Ford and Leland are super heroes.
Middle child syndrome.  I honestly can't remember why he was crying.  Something silly I'm sure.
Just about every week day afternoon my posse'and I take a spin around the hood in the golf cart.  Something about being outside is so calming to my crew.
Sister and me before church
We were ready a few minutes early (not Fancy of course) so I needed to document the occasion.
Happy end of the weekend... on to swimming lessons tomorrow!
