Keep The Faith

Back in October my mom, Gran, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Since then she has undergone 4 extremely powerful chemo treatments which for the most part have kept her bed ridden.  We were hoping that during the two week time period she would have some good days and be able to get out of the house some, but those days were few and far between.

Yesterday, she went to have CT Scans to see how her body had reacted to the treatments and I am PLEASED to announce that her tumor shrunk significantly.  This is great news.  Since her tumor shrunk she is a candidate for the Whipple Procedure.
Right after my mom was diagnosed I started seeing “signs” that gave me peace and assurance that God was with my mother.  I was at my church’s fall festival and when I saw this bracelet in the bucket of prizes.  It says “KEEP THE FAITH”.  Yep, that was God talking to me.  I have worn the bracelet ever since.

Words CANNOT express how much it means to my family and me that so many people have been truly concerned with my mom.  We have heard and felt the prayers.  Please don’t stop praying.  This surgical procedure she is facing in the near future is a major operation and the road to recovery will be long.  My mother is a trooper and a fighter.  Keep the prayers coming!!!!
