I don't like the big guy

Halloween came and went and two days later Mayberry had its Christmas open house.  What happened to Thanksgiving????  Who knows, but the local stores have all the Christmas décor up, and they were ready to host a gathering.

I don’t love to shop as much as I use to.  I guess it’s because back in the day I wasn't spending my money, it was my parents’ cash.  Now the shopping extravaganzas come straight out of my pocket.  But lucky for Trey, I am pretty cheap and never get in trouble for shopping other than my Wal-Mart excursions.  Trey had to work on Saturday so I was left to take the boys with me to all the cutesy stores and hope that nothing would be broken and no one would have a meltdown.

Stop #1 was to see Santa!!!!  You learn things being a parent.  A very important rule to learn is NEVER tell your kids about something exciting until the last minute.  WHY?  They will bug the mess out of you about it!  So, with that being said, about 1 hour before we went to see Jolly Old St. Nick I told Ford “the plan”.  He was standing on the toilet seat brushing his teeth when I said where we were headed and he jumped straight off and squealed with delight.

Ford LOVES Santa.  He started spitting off things he wanted: a bigger bike, an astronaut helmet, a train table (yeah right), ….. etc.  The child has never been scared of him.  However, child #2 is NOT A FAN.  Here’s the progression….
Please note that throughout the entire yell fest that Bitty was putting on that Ford just posed right away!!!!
It just didn't get any better.  The kid has a strong set of lungs and is very thorough at making his point.  HELP!!!!!!!!!
The people there thought “my little girl” was so cute.  Trey, it’s time for a haircut!!!!
