No two children are alike and that is true for mine. Our child that we hoped would be laid back
isn't so much chilled as we thought.
John Brantley is
super spunky. He is high energy. He is strong willed and stubborn. He is demanding and loud. He is cuddly and sweet.
I love his big blue eyes, his chubby cheeks, curly blonde hair,
high pitched squeal, caveman noises, and soft skin.
He makes me laugh how he gets his way and communicates even
though he can’t talk. He uses his index
finger to point, says, “Ewww Ewww”, flops his wrists around, and flat out just
screams.
John Brantley loves drinks and will always find a way to get
a taste of whatever you have. He loves a
bath and knows what you are saying when you ask if he wants to take a
bath. He loves to be outside and squeals
with delight and starts bucking and hopping around to be taken outdoors.
He is very ticklish.
He loves playing with Ford and his toys.
Ford doesn't like him playing with his toys so much though. He loves to be held and will walk over to you
and tug on your pants until you pick him up. He is obsessed with hats.
John Brantley loves animals.
He makes lots of caveman noises when he sees something furry. He pets all the critters in Trey’s office
every time we visit.
He wakes up around 6:00 every morning. Naps from 8:00-10:00 (times may vary). Has lunch around 11:30. Naps again from about 1:00-2:30. We have supper around 5:30 followed by a bath
and bed at 7:00.
John Brantley is still being breast fed and NO he doesn't
sleep through the night. It would be
called SPOILED ROTTEN! He has still never spent the night away from me.
John Brantley has gotten to the point where he doesn't like
to be held by people that he doesn't know well.
He cries every Sunday when I drop him off in the nursery, but is okay
within a few minutes. He is much more
into his Daddy than Ford was which makes Fancy very excited.
He is walking. There is
no more crawling. He has been going
pretty good for about 2 weeks now. He
isn't a good eater and has baby food about 75% of the time. He has 6 teeth so it’s hard for him to chew
too much. We have two teeth on the
bottom and 4 on the top.
John Brantley has problems with biting. We have to spank his hand and say “NO” a
lot. You think he’d get it because the
hand spankings break his heart. He doesn't
have a pretty cry. When he gets upset he
makes the absolute worst faces and honestly, they make us laugh!
He is wearing a size 3 diaper, 3 shoes and 9-12 month
clothes. He still won’t have much to do
with shoes. Most of the time I just
refuse to put them on him. John Brantley
is extremely difficult to dress and by the time I get his shoes on he has
yanked one of them off.
He can say “Ma-Ma”, “Da-Da”, “De-ta” (our dog) and other
than that he squeals or says “Na Na Na Na Na”.
John Brantley won’t let you rock him and cuddle, but he
loves to be held. When you are holding
him he will in turn hold on to your shirt for safety purposes!
Being a mom is the best thing I have ever done. Being a mom is the hardest thing I have ever
done. But being a mom is what I've always
wanted to do. I love being with my boys
all the time and feel extremely blessed that the Lord has entrusted these
little boys into my care.
John Brantley has brought so much love and life into our
home that it’s hard to remember before we had the little fellow. He is a wonderful addition to our family and
I am thankful for my precious little Bitty!
We love you John Brantley Lamar!!!
