Annual Field Trip

On Tuesday we went on our annual summer trip to Jackson. Gran came along for the ride to visit with my grandparents. Since Puddin has a house in Ridgeland we are able to have lovely accommodations during our field trip to the capitol J.

We started the trip on Tuesday with lunch at Broadstreet in Banner Hall. Ford was overly concerned with the “water” and desperately needed to throw money into the fountain.

Puddin has fun toys at her house.  “headphones”

When we visit Jackson we always go downtown to see Puddin at the Supreme Court building.
She even has fun games in her office.

Someone scary came into Puddin’s office so Ford hid.

After a good nap we went to the Children’s Museum.
I love to blog and I thoroughly enjoying following other people’s blogs. One of which is another person from the Hattiesburg/Oak Grove area where I went to high school. Lauren has a cute blog and her little boy is 10 days younger than Ford. When I have blogged about making trips to Jackson in the past she said to let her know if I ever wanted to get together. Well, on Wednesday when Ford was napping I sent her a message and to my surprise she got my message and was able to meet up with us at the Children’s Museum. I don’t think I have seen her since my freshman year of college but I think we would both agree we felt like we knew a lot about one another from blogging!!! Ford and Reid had a big time together……

This place was very neat and educational.  Ford saw it as a giant playground and not so educational.  He had no idea he was climbing through and esophagus.

Hugging Reid goodbye...What a FUN day!!!!!!!!

After the Children’s Museum we went back to see my grandparents.  They bought Ford some presents and I nearly had a stroke because the child has enough stuff to supply all the needy children in America with toys.  Fortunately, they opted for books.

And a tractor books is even better

Back at Puddin’s house he found the water hose.

We came home this afternoon and I did miss my little Mayberry. Now the eating selection is much better in Jackson but when you take away all the traffic and factor in that I work 0.8 of a mile from home and Trey is literally 200 yards away it makes this place much sweeter!

Ford and I went for a swim at Puddin and Pop’s house.

Gran thanks for riding with us and Puddin thanks for giving us your room for 2 nights and sleeping in the guest room!!!!
