Experimental Hair Doo

Well, on Saturday I left Senatobia headed south to Hattiesburg for a baby shower.  Anyone who knows me well knows that I like to be at home and spending the night out is not my cup of tea.  With that being said I decided I would go to the shower and come home in the same day.  Yes, that would be a total of 8 hours traveling, but I knew I could do it.
Ford got haircut number 8.  She cut too much.  He looks like he is 4 and not 17 months.

Trey and Ford did not come.  Trey was in a wedding.  Yes, this would be like wedding number 15 since we have been married.  Ohhh if I just had all that money back from the tuxes I could go on a mini vacay.  But on with the story… So Trey had a wedding and Ford needed a sitter.  That is where the grandparents come in handy.  Gran and BoomPa offered to keep Ford.  I left little to no instructions so I guess that was my fault.  Disaster did strike while I was away.

I guess Ford has spent a lot of time watching me get ready in the bathroom.  If you remember from a previous post I said I was the president of the bad hair club and therefore I require many products in my hair on a daily basis.  Apparently, Ford thought he needed to spruce up his hair because when Gran put him down for his nap he smeared VASELINE all in his hair.  Do you know how thick that stuff is?  It’s not meant to be put in the hair under any circumstance so I have learned.  He was a greased up little monkey.

These two pictures were taken after his hair had been shampooed.
In a mode of panic Trey and I washed with Dawn, baking soda, Dawn again, and shampooed 2 more time before going to church. He was slicked down still.

Sunday night we decided to try laundry detergent mixed with baking soda.  I was a little nervous to rub all of this on Ford’s head, but we were in a desperate situation and didn’t want to shave his hair off.

We thought it worked pretty well.

So after all was said and done he had been washed in…
And like I said… I was at a baby shower.  Here are some pictures from my day.

Ford LOVES shredded cheese.  He also likes to dump it on my table.

Playing one night while we were out to eat.

Before bed tonight in his Elmo pajamas.

Sorry for any typos.  I have a headache from smelling vinegar today at school and do not feel like proof reading.  Why vinegar?  We erupted 9 volcanoes as science experiments and my head is pounding.  I am off to bed.
