Red Apple

So I guess the last post about twirling in the shower and me stealing his plug-ins really pushed Trey over the edge because he moved out. No, not out of the house, but he moved out of the bathroom. He completely relocated to another bathroom and took all of his goods. He told me he needed more privacy. And I don’t know what else to say about that.

As you all read, our anniversary was last weekend. Trey had been telling me for almost a week that we were going somewhere and wouldn’t say where. That kind of stuff drives me CRAZY! I am so Type A that I need to make plans, you know have the agenda is motion. He started asking a week before we left when I wanted to know where we were going and I always responded with NOW! Finally, on Wednesday, he gave in and said we are going to Heber Springs, Arkansas to stay at the Red Apple Inn and go out on Greers Ferry Lake. And that we did. The drive there wasn’t the easiest with mostly 2 lane roads that were extremely curvy but we made it in one piece. We had a nice dinner on Friday at the Red Apple Inn Country Club, went on the boat Saturday for 8 hours, and ended the day with some delicious pizza (my favorite). We got up and came home by lunch on Sunday. We would recommend it to you!

We found a sunken pirates ship!!!

Take Five Tuesday:
1. I enjoy exterminating things. Who needs a bug man!!!??? Today I went around killing wasps outside while Ford played.
2. I cut my fingernails once a week. Ford also gets his cut on Tuesdays.
3. I like to wave at people driving by when Ford and I are playing out in the yard. Even if they don’t look friendly I still wave. Who knows… I could make someone’s day a little brighter.
4. I am still collecting quarters. I have about 12 to go. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be.
5. I have more bathroom products than anyone I know. Maybe I should do a post about what’s in my shower and under my sink. My purse would have nothing on the bathroom! High maintenance? Nah!

Yes, we live in town. Yes, we are rednecks and play outside in a diaper.

FORD FACTS:

• He wears a size 3 diaper. I think we are nearing the size 4 stage though.
• He wears a size 3 shoe except in his New Balance tennis shoes. Those are a 4.
• He still eats some baby food. Usually for breakfast he has baby food fruit and several days for lunch he has a fruit and vegetable.
• He won’t eat regular fruit. I believe it’s the texture.
• He goes to bed about 7 and sleeps until 6:30.
• I still give him a bottle. I just can’t let it go yet.
• He still takes a pacifier which he calls a pappy.
• He can say: mommy, daddy, Delta, car, truck, turkey, puppy, dog, tractor, pool, door, Bo( Puddin and Pops dog), gone gone, baby, pappy, NO!, juice, nose, phone (in his own special way), mote (remote), glasses, keys, bubbles,
• He gives people “5”.
• When he plays peek-a-boo which we call “pee-pie” he covers his ears. It’s so cute!
• He loves keys, phones, remotes, cords, the vacuum cleaner etc.
• He likes books but won’t sit still long enough to read one.
• He has had 6 hair cuts.

• His eyes have remained blue.
• He has 6 teeth. Two on the bottom and 4 on the top. We haven’t gotten a tooth since February.

I have been noticing a lot of locust shells (I guess that is what you call them) around my house. Yesterday I saw the real deal. Gosh, they are ugly. I had to take a picture of the weird little guy. Then I decided to google locust and see what I found:
Locusts are related to grasshoppers and the two insects look similar. However, locust behavior can be something else entirely. Locusts are sometimes solitary insects with lifestyles much like grasshoppers. But locusts have another behavioral phase called the gregarious phase. When environmental conditions produce many green plants and promote breeding, locusts can congregate into thick, mobile, ravenous swarms.
Locust swarms devastate crops and cause major agricultural damage and attendant human misery—famine and starvation. They occur in many parts of the world, but today locusts are most destructive in sustenance farming regions of Africa.
