Beach Trip Part 1

So we did a little combo of playing in the World Series and Mississippi Bar Convention festivities for several days.  It was long.  It was exhausting, but we got it done.

Ford was playing in a game and missed the welcome party.  I was sad he wasn't in our picture.
We found Pepper Cossar
Since Hurricane Barry was lurking and there were double red flags, we couldn't get in the ocean the first few days.
We still played in the sand.
We lost Ford one afternoon.  He had helped himself to an ice cream cone and charged it to the room!!!
The struggle is real.  Annie fell asleep riding to supper one night.
We love to eat at The Bay on 331.  It's a great atmosphere for kids to play!
 Puh and Pops
A full belly and super tired....
She stole my spot in the bed.
We went to the outlet mall for tennis shoes.  I told them if they'd be good we'd get some $15 snocones.
 This man LOVES chicken wings.
 Acme Oyster Bar
Trey did 1,000 push-ups on the trip.  Annie helped.  Bitty supervised in his goggles.
 "The spoon" made the trip.
 Trey talked on his phone.
We went to the Build-A-Bear party and got painted up.
 Maggie and Annie
She's worn this dress for 3 summers now!
 The Bar Convention Farewell Party
They had a limbo contest.  Bitty participated with about 50 other kids and won.
He got a reptile sleeping bag/sack.
The second part of the beach trip to come.

The World Series

If you’ve been a blog reader of mine for any length of time, you’d know we spend a large part of July down at the beach.  This year things were a bit different since Ford was playing in the World Series during the Bar Convention.  While en route southward, we stopped by to see my 92 year old Grandmother.
Then we stopped for the night in Laurel to crash with Dad and Patty.
No trip to the beach is complete without stopping for lunch at Felix's in Mobile.  It's tradition.
Even though we broke the trip up, I needed ear plugs!
We checked into the Hilton for The Bar Convention and then headed 8 miles towards Destin for the opening ceremonies and pin trading.  It was only 8 miles, but 65 minutes with traffic!!!!!!!!
 Night one...the littles bunked together.
Siblings entertaining themselves during the games.
Ford played Wednesday-Saturday in two different locations.
Rain delay = The Back Porch
My man got to pitch some.  He did great!
The last day of games we had a huge delay so they could work on the fields.  Since we had checked out of the Hilton we spent some time at The Track riding go carts and playing goofy golf.

Annie and I rode the go carts together.  She squealed the entire time about how fun it was!!!!!!
The last day the boys played 4 games.  We won the first three and waited...
They hit their knees to pray before the championship game.
 We came in second place.
It was a long, long day!
More blogs to come....
