Redneck Floating Part 1

If you haven't noticed, the Lamar family likes a tradition.  It can be as simple and baking a gingerbread man at Christmas time or a trip to a redneck river.

In September of 2018, we went to Eminence, Missouri, to float down the Jacks Fork River.  The town is very small and reminded me of stepping back in time.  It's a tourist attraction because of the rivers around the area to float down.  We missed out in 2019 but managed to go again in 2020 and in 2021.

This year we stayed in some better cabins, thank goodness.... and we even convinced our neighbors to join us.
As soon as we got there, the kids suited up and hopped in the cold river water.

We had stopped by the store to load up on groceries and snacks.

It clearly says "Do Not Climb On Rocks"...they listen so well.

Ford, Gaines, and Bit

It was also Anne Walker's birthday.

We stopped to have breakfast on Saturday before rafting/floating/canoeing....

This year we had to ride on a school bus to get to the river.  The ride was loaded with the filthiest talking people in America.

Figuring out the canoe deal.....

Part 2 to come........
