Oh this child of mine....

It happens quickly, and kind of without warning.  They say the days are long, but the years are short.  I guess you really don't soak in that reality until you look up and your child is 9, they've lost that baby face, and before long will be as tall as you.  It's happened to my Ford.  He's 9.  In ten years he will complete high school and leave the nest.  That's actually NOT long at all.  It makes me sad.  Even though motherhood can be a serious struggle for patience, understanding, kindness, and all around sanity, I love "most" every minute of it.  I'm so glad that God saw me fit to mother my three babies.

I'm so glad that Ford is a good kid.  I push him.  I expect greatness.  He knows it too.  He does great things often.  He's the best big brother, a wonderful helper, has a loving spirit, a kind heart, loves the Lord, is obsessed with sports in any way fashion or form, cheers for the Rebels, drinks milk constantly, is more of a salty snacker than sweet, always has a ball in his hands, enjoys learning new things, is an early riser, question asker, big talker, and has a sweet sweet spirit.
