The Life of a Suburban Driving Baseball Mom

Hello, and welcome to my life.  I'm a 34, almost 35 year old Suburban driving baseball mom.  At the Lamar household, "We do baseball."  Last weekend, my eldest, Ford, had a tournament in Kosciusko.  Trey and the boys went on to Starkville the night before to watch the Bulldogs play some baseball with the rest of the team.  I assured him they would have a much better time without Sister and me.  We lagged behind and headed down the next day.  To say it rained would be an understatement!!!!!!!!!
I started teaching school 12 years ago when I was basically a baby myself.  I'm pretty sure that first year I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but I sure tried.  My third year of teaching is when we moved to Senatobia.  My first group of third graders in Mayberry graduated this week.  I saw Quadarius at graduation and had to find him after the ceremony.  He kept saying, "Mrs. Lamar, I did it!!!!!!"  I was so proud of him!!!!!!!  Ohhhh it made me miss teaching... just teaching, not all the other stuff that comes with it!
Ford has gone to baseball and basketball camp this week.  He brought home the "Hot Shot Award" for making the most baskets in 60 seconds from 5 different positions.  (He's also sporting a red Gatorade mustache.)
This is me.  No, really it's Annie, but it also represents me.  She's a little sister who will be forever at a baseball game!  That was me... now it's her.
She still throws fits.
And refuses to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But she likes chocolate as much as I do, and she's so cute that you can't help but squeeze her!
And him.  Ohhhh mylanta....him too.  Him too!!!!!!  Cuteness overload!
I don't listen to country music much, but the other day I turned some on in the car.  The song by Jon Pardi, "Dirt on My Boots" came on.  Bitty said that was TA and his song and they were rednecks. Long pause and then he said, "Is rednecks a bad word????!!!"
He is the tee ball champ!
Trey instructing.
And if you don't get really dirty then you haven't played hard enough.
Ford's city league season ended last night in a heart breaking loss of 15-14.  Those boys played their hearts out.

Bitty has now completed two years in 3K and he's off to 4K.  He's ready and excited about what's to come.  He's spent 8 nine weeks in Mrs. Laura's class and the last 9 weeks he got a (+) in voice control.  I am 100% sure it was given out of pity because he ain't quiet!!!!!!

Ford finished the year strong.  He had All A's every 9 weeks.    The last 9 weeks his grades were:
Reading- 96.33
Math- 98.56
Science/Social Studies- 99.25
Spelling- 98.64
English- 95.84
I'm proud of the boys and plan to keep those skills sharp this summer and have another great year in 2017-2018!!!!!
