That grading scale

I really look forward to these boys' progress reports.  I can't say I always looked forward to mine as a child, but I do get excited about theirs.  Bitty is progressing nicely.  I asked him why he stopped counting at "30" and he said it takes too long to count and he wasn't going any higher.  He could keep going, but that's Bitty...you take what you can get.  He can also write his name neater.
That voice control.... I've decided we won't ever master that.  I'll just accept it.   He's a loud kid.
Ford had all A's again.  He dropped down in two subjects and went up in three.   It's hard to read so I'm inserting a chart.

SUBJECT

SECOND 9 WEEKS

We had a BIG talk about checking our work and doing our best.  I informed him that 100% of his missed questions on graded work were careless.  So, this 9 weeks we are striving to make all 100's (because I know he can) with the understanding there could be a great reward at the end.  Please note, I was NEVER rewarded for grades.  Good grades were expected, not rewarded, therefore, I don't ever give my kids "toys/presents" for their academic performance.  This will be the only time he could possibly get a prize...straight 100's or bust.

And NOT to be outdone by the "bubbas", this girl is advanced too... She's started the "terrible two's" and she's not even two yet!!!!!
