Stubborn. Belly. Fat.
Now that you know what we are talking about let’s get going with tonight’s
blog. Sure, we've all heard or read
about stubborn belly fat, and for most of my life I thought it was a bunch of
bull. As a young child growing up I ate
whatever I wanted; all of my Halloween
candy, cookies, cakes, ding-dongs. You
name it. I remember in high school
eating lots of pizza and probably losing weight the next day. In college I gained some, but not all of the
freshman 15 and then bounced back. I
bounced back after Ford as well, but Bitty has been a different story.
I did gain 40 pounds with John Brantley and I ate whatever I
wanted, just ask my parents. Since giving
birth to him some 360 days later I have lost all and then some of that 40
pounds, but the ole mid-section isn't what it used to be. In an effort to regain my waist line and rid myself
of the muffin top (yes, I just said that, Trey), I started the couch to
5K. I haven’t run in 2 weeks. Thanks Elizabeth for all the support!!! Well, in another effort to help myself I
decided my June goal would be to give up….
Yes, those would be cinnamon rolls. And yes, I think I am addicted to them. That, my friends, would be a can of 5
rolls. Normally we buy the 8 pack. In years past I ate 2. Then when I was pregnant with JB and Fancy
was in Jackson I started eating 3. I
have been eating 3 now for about 1 ½ years.
I would make them about 2 times a week which 2 x 3 = 6 cinnamon rolls a
week. Then when you say 6 x 4 weeks = 24
cinnamon rolls (sometimes more) a month.
Ohhhhhhhhh wow!!! Some of you
fitness freaks just got sick I’m sure.
The good thing is I am 9 days in to the month and not one cinnamon roll
has been cooked in this house!
Bitty’s first popsicle.
Thursday was Ford’s last tee-ball game. I think John Brantley was tired of all the
excitement each week too.
