Lamar Hall

It can be hard to keep a secret, especially a secret from your husband.   But sometimes keeping secrets is a must...like when it's an honor for your spouse.

I was told over a month ago that the new dormitory at NWCC was going to be named Lamar Hall after Trey.  Wow.... Then came the time to invite all the people he would want there and to NOT let him find out.

This all went down last week.   Ohhh and I forgot to add that the day of the ribbon cutting Hurricane Francine was going to hit.   Nice!   A hurricane didn't stop us from getting married so it couldn't stop a ribbon cutting either.

At 12:00 he was supposed to be at a board meeting.   At 12:00 the garage goes up and he's home!!!!   I panicked.   He was simply changing clothes to go to the board meeting.   At the end of the meeting he learned that the new residence hall would be named after him.    We were all at the dorm waiting....

Nothing like giving a speech when you didn't know you were giving a speech.

We even got some legislators there....




Last week I subbed while a teacher was out with her husband who had surgery.   On Friday it was career day.   Annie wants to be a teacher....

Mary Ryan wants to be a teacher too...

Carter Grace is Joanna Gaines and a teacher....

Trey went on a guy's trip and they documented him talking on the phone for me!

Did I mention we watch football games in the rain?!?!?

Ford dresses out with varsity too....

The Posse'' Did It Again

I am always proud of Trey for what he does for the state of Mississippi.   Even when the legislature isn't in session he's back and forth to Jackson.... working.

Three weeks in a row.....three weeks in a row I have watched ballgames in the rain.

Construction day at school for spirit day....


Headed to Oxford to play baseball....

I love my three best friends from high school.   There are many miles between them and me but the last few years we have made it a priority to get together and celebrate being friends. 

Clearly, I don't pack lightly.  

Katie said she was selling her condo and we could have one last hoorah there.

My sister in law gave me this glamorous hat for my birthday and I decided the posse' needed one too.



Out for a walk.....


We had less than an hour on the beach before the rain came....

But when we got to the pool it stopped.




We didn't have many hours together, but we squeezed in a lot of conversations!


While I was gone the family hunted again....
