Ahhhhh, a family reunion.
It’s a time for smorgasbord, reminiscing the past, discussing new ailments,
talking about your grandchildren, and planning for the future. I would say after this past weekend I should
have a PhD in family reunioning!!!
On Friday we hit the road headed south to Sebastopol (yep,
it’s in Mississippi) for the Anthony family reunion. These would be my dad’s people. We rolled into town about 4:15, Ford went
straight for the basketball goal at my aunt and uncle’s house, and it took The
Bit about 30 minutes to warm up to the situation. Once he warmed he was running hot the rest
of the trip.

It’s a shame that Sebastopol is only 2.5 hours away and I
hadn’t been since last June. No excuses….I
must do better. We sat around and
talked, let the kids entertain us, and of course, ate some good grub. Saturday morning we headed for the big
gathering with more homecooking than should be allowed!!!!

We left about 2:30 and headed
back to Mayberry. And Sunday brought on
yet another family reunion. This time it
was local!!! Puddin and Pops were the
lucky hosts of the Wooten family reunion.
These would be Pop’s people.
Again, lots of reminiscing, eating, and kid entertaining.

Annie and her Great Aunt Ollie
Aunt Ollie was the sister of Annie's namesake, Sarah. Sarah was Pops's mom.
Family is important, a blessing, and something never to take
for granted. Love your people and always
tell them that!
