The Camo Birthday Party

Ford turned 4 during the middle of the week so we had to wait a few days for a party.  I like to pride myself in being OCD, prepared, Type A, on top of things, etc.  Since Mississippi has crazy weather and on numerous accounts I run my air conditioner and heater in the same day, I knew that a party in early May could result in various types of weather.  With that being said, I planned to have the party at our house, but in the event of bad weather I reserved our church gym.  The night before his party it got down in the 30’s and it did a lot of raining for several days before it as well.  Therefore, I am pleased that I had a backup plan and I didn't have 30 kids at my house wondering where the bouncy house was going to be.

Ford requested a camouflage party this year.  I was good with that, less thinking on my part about a “theme”.  He’s into all things hunting, camo, guns, deer, coyote, dirt, 4-wheelers etc.  I googled and got on Pinterest for ideas and did the best I could do.

I need to say a special thanks to Puddin and Taylor for helping me decorate the gym on Friday night!!!!

Ford woke up around 6:00 A.M. on Saturday morning and did a full yelling sprint down the hall.  He was so excited.  He didn’t even act like that on Christmas morning.  I’m glad I planned the party from 10:00-12:00, because I don’t think he could have waited until the afternoon.

Two weeks ago while I was in Memphis taking John Brantley to the doctor I made a quick trip by my brother’s house to deliver “The Chinaman”.  The Chinaman is a small statue, if you will, that Ken and I have passed back in forth, secretively as a joke, for about 12 years now.  It ended up on the food table at the party!!!

What an interesting party it was. I had an awesome time watching these pictures. I have already started imagining how my twin’s upcoming birthday bash would be. Actually want to host an enjoyable bash for their friends and entire family so planning to make reservation for the best party venue NYC.
