Twas the day before Christmas....

Christmas Eve late morning/day we always spend at my parents' house opening gifts, eating, and letting the kids act crazy!  Even though mom wasn't on her "A game" we still went and had the merry festivities!
Molly Cate is such a good sitter to Annie.
Mom watched a little from the couch before hopping back in bed.
If you buy this child anything with Ole Miss on it he will be thrilled to death!!!
And trucks, trailers, tractors, gators, and such please him!
And she likes to taste everything in site.
 Official trash lady!
I gave dad an automatic open/close umbrella as one of his gifts!
 Legos aka toe breakers
He is always trying to pick the baby up.
My grandmother came to see us too.
Family shot before the Christmas Eve service at church.
Time to sprinkle the reindeer food...
 Opening their matching Christmas jammies
It is utterly impossible to take a picture where all three are cooperating.
 The last Christmas chains....
Christmas day blogs to come....

The wreck

Well I'm sure y'all are all waiting on my Christmas blog, but this one is about the wreck.

Yesterday was Christmas Day.  We opened gifts at home, Annie napped, then around 11:00 we headed to Puddin and Pops's for festivities at their house.  Since our lives revolve around naps, we left a little after 1:00 so Annie could rest up.

I like to drive, so we loaded up in my suburban and headed home.  We live about 5 minutes from the in laws.  I was on the long road that heads to our house, topped the hill and started coasting because we were nearing our driveway.  I turned on my blinker and started to brake. Then I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a car flying towards me. I gave the car gas in an emergency attempt to keep from getting hit.  About that time Trey says something about why I sped up and I sort of hollered then Boooom!   We got smoked from behind, went flying on two wheels, barely missed a culvert, and ended in my driveway.

Here's the other car...
Mad would be an understatement about how I felt.  I jumped out of the car.  Trey called 911.  Annie was screaming bloody murder and the other chick blamed her child!   She started saying the wreck never would have happened if he didn't want his tablet.  Therefore she admitted to turning around to hand him his device.
The 20 something year old chick never apologized, didn't ask if we were ok, never got out of her car, she just sat there and chain smoked.
I'm guessing she was going 50-60 mph. My head slammed into the headrest.  It hurt.  Today I've had a headache all day and my neck feels strained.  And to add to my list of ailments my arms hurt.  I guess from steering and trying to avoid the culvert.
Looks like her car is toast.  I'm thankful I drive a bus.  My car did get towed away. It was making a grinding noise and driving funny.  Good old Pops let me borrow his Yukon until we figure out about mine.

No skid marks....
God was definitely watching over us.  It could have been a lot nastier.  I hope that young lady learned a valuable lesson yesterday.

Ten months, ribs, and toothlessness

Sister has survived two rambunctious brothers for 10 months now!!!!!  Her little personality has definitely come out and strong too might I add.  I don't think we could love her more.

We haven't been to the doctor lately (praises) so I am guessing she weighs somewhere between 20-21 pounds.  She's wearing some 9 months, but mostly 12 month clothing.  She wears a 2-3 shoes and size 4 Luvs.  She is obsessed with the bath tub.  I believe bathing and eating are her two favorite hobbies.  She is no longer in that rock n play, just her bed.  She's been sleeping through the night for about a week or two.  We still have 5:00ish wake up times, but that's okay because momma gets up early too!!!
She prefers to sleep like this...
She is pulling up on everything!!!!!  She crawls speedy fast and loves to put things in her mouth.  Annie is very vocal and squeals loud enough to break glass.  I hear she got that honestly from me!
John Brantley enjoyed the ribs and sauce at Daddy's office party.
She's just checking on Ford while he watches football.
He needs lip gloss every once in a while.
She loves playing in my closet and kissing the baby.
The other day we got behind a man in the express aisle at Walmart.  He was holding two arm fulls of stuff.  He dropped about half of them on the floor.  I quickly told Ford to help the man pick up his stuff.  He did so and Bitty helped too. After the man checked out he gave Ford a dollar for helping him.  Naturally, Bitty was confused as to why the man didn't give him a dollar.  I gave The Bit a dollar.  The boys then wanted to put it in the money collected for Lebonhaur.  Made me so proud!
The tree and presents have been so fascinating to her.
Milk coma...
Lap full of babies waiting on Daddy to come home one night.
Last Saturday some man things happened.  For the very first time, Fancy took both boys hunting early in the morning.  Trey said when he went upstairs to get them at 5:45 that their eyes were as big as saucers!!!
Believe it or not, but Bitty acted better than Ford!
Trey killed two and his buddy killed two.
While Daddy and the Bubbas went hunting I helped Momma make a big breakfast.
I used a neat app called "Super Photo" to create this picture!
The original....
This is a hard one to post.  My eldest lost his first tooth.  Teeth coming out is kind of a big deal.  I feel like the little little kid is going away and it's time to make room for a big kid.  I'm not good with that.

Ford lost his first tooth on Monday.  It wasn't ready, but he was.  It was coming out whether it wanted to or not!   After days of wiggling it, he decided to bite down on a marker.  He did, and the tooth pushed forward and he yanked it out.  Ford came running into the kitchen just beaming with blood all over his chin!
Toothless cousins... Ford and Caroline
Christmas break is a time for imaginative play and pallet building.
Tomorrow is Christmas day and my babies are sooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!

New Things- Let's Do This

Yep... Time flies.   You can't control it.   You can't slow it down.   You can't turn back the hands of time.   Whether I like ...
